This from Kelly's Eye in last nights Mail.......
'I've heard rumours that some fans are suggesting boycotting season ticket sales in order to force the club into administration. I've never heard so much rubbish in my life. How can you advocate ruining the club ?'

Ruining the club.....?

He and loughlin should be camped out the mans house thats responsible for this. They should be hounding him. He has not only destroyed a football club. But a town without a football league club is nothing.

He does talk some shite. All iv seen is people suggesting waiting for more information before committing which is the sensible thing to do.

The man is a clown. Isn't the point that folk (I am one!) are not paying up front to avoid having the dosh 'nicked' by the bad lad or lost in a strategic administration!

Kelly should stick to writing about what he knows about, which is ....................

The bit about the first people he saw at the ground being Collins and Hodcroft was enough for me. The first people I saw was the lad who scanned my season card and a steward. Yup the season card I bought with my own cash and after we get some clarity from the club I will decide if I want buy again. I am not going to buy because of a lame attempt by a local rag hack to shame me into throwing my money into god knows what.

Another article rallying the fans. Another article saying together we can do this...

Basically shut up. Stop moaning. Buy a ticket n stop questioning things.

Where's the fuckin outrage? Where's the questions over the debt?

The fans are probably over the next few weeks going to have to step in and front up some money to get him out of our club.

Have we not suffered enough these past few years?

The fans at this club are unbelievable. Turn up in numbers home n away with little return

I like Roy. But he's so way off the mark here.

The coverage on Radio Tees on Monday night was superb passionate people who know the game and have a great affinity for the club. They virtually all to a man said that before anyone parts with any money the fans need clarification about the clubs ownership.

So people like Eddie Kyle, Chris Turner, Micky Barron all get that why doesn't Roy Kelly if he thinks people who love the club would genuinely try to 'force the club into administration' then he's either listening to the wrong people, incredibly thick or both.

I think some of this sniping at the local press should stop. OK maybe there should have been some more "investigative" journalism but these are local guys, not Sun on Sunday hacks!
We may well need to keep the press onside to promote the Trust and the positive things that are happening. Personal digs such as the "Mark Simpson's teaboy" stuff are childish and immature.
We need to be getting everybody onside and putting differences behind us to make this work.
Just my opinion but it is exactly this sort of stuff that puts some people off joining.

I enjoyed tees on Monday, well I didn't if you know what I mean, but I enjoyed passionate people talking about pools and asking questions.

Micky Barron n tommy miller have been doing it on twitter for a few weeks now and they are both spot on.

These journo's have completely forgotten what has went on, Loughlin only had a dig at Jones & Coxall when they both done one. Fans are entitled to do whatever they want with their money and don't need Roy Kelly telling us all to put our hands in our pocket. You can tell he hasn't been at Pools much this season based on this article.

I'm afraid it won't change whilst the local written press keep doing these comical ali pieces.

With this lot in charge we are already heading towards administration, I'd rather keep my season ticket money to be able to help do something about it than have it gobbled up to help pay off the debts.

I'm not sniping at anyone but that article is insulting.

It's time for honesty, full disclosure and transparency. If another pound is going into to pocket of either Coxall or Goldberg are we actually helping the club by supporting it financially? Where has £1.2 million gone in year after a £50,000 loss the year before? The Town needs to come together to get rid of these charlatans that is the big picture if Pam agrees then we're on on board. If not as hard as it is how can anybody be justify giving those two more money?

Don't disagree about withholding money for the time being it's just the personal attacks that in my opinion are unnecessary. We need to move on.

Loughlin turned off the comments on the relegation stories on the online Echo. After all the jibes hes had against Darlo its one hell of a bottle job by him. Two bit hack IMO.

The Trust...because like it or not there are still some who see the Bunker and the Trust as the same entity. I don't but know some who do. This just gives them ammunition.

I think the time has come to stop worrying about a handful of people who aren't important. If they aren't on board or choose not to see the bigger then what more can you do?

Take in what chip said a few posts ago, and something that I have said a few times lately. Hartlepool United to Coxall is/was a lifestyle business. He acquired the club for nothing on the back of having the gift of the gab and it's sole purpose for two years has been to fund his lifestyle. Sham companies like 'JNPG recruitment' and 'Punjabi Records' don't pay the mortgage or 'business trips' to Dubai. Making yourself chairman of business with a £3,000,000 turnover does. It might not be so bad if the bloke had even a modicum of competence or aptitude for the role he was paying himself for. He didn't he was utterly clueless. On the field he has put the club in it's worst position for 96 years, off it he has somehow built up £1.2 million of debt without signing a footballer for a fee (oh and selling three for fees in January ) It is an absolute scandal what he's done to our fantastic football club, he is the worst thing to happen to us in 109 years but on the other hand without any clarification about where the money has gone or is going Roy Kelly thinks we should continue to blindly hand it over to the club?

As I said, insulting.

Take the flak, get mocked, get described as trying to ruin the club, then WE need to move on...? We?
Which begs the question what about the elephant in the zoom, 'C' word, he was never reproached, just some fans who decided enough is enough.
Any neutral reading the papers would be forgiven for thinking that unfortunately we got relegated but never worry, everything's in hand and it's business as usual. There's some disruptive so called fans trying to ruin the club, but get out and nail your colour's to the mast if you're a true fan.

There's a clannish element of mutual backslappers who think it's their club, it's not.

Yes, I do thinks some of comments Kelly makes are wide of the mark, especially suggesting fans are somehow to be blamed for this whole mess.
However I still believe we should try to engage with reporters rather than continually berate and alienate them. They still have a readership who will believe everything that is said. Should we not try harder to get them onside rather than abuse them at, seemingly, every opportunity.
As I said just my opinion. I won't be renewing my ticket until the situation becomes clearer - having had one for well over 20 years. I hope, however, that I will do so before the deadline ends.

I understand where you are coming from Geoff but it must be hard for people to do so when Loughlin had digs in the past such as "secret bunker board" "Detectives" etc..

I think everyone agrees with your sentiments Geoff, people shouldnt go nit picking for rogue sentences/comments to pick them up on etc. (ie I dont believe anyone mentioned Loughlin having a go at Donnelly for not cancelling the new car he ordered a while back and of which the company then tweeted a picture of him with it) but this full article by Kelly is awful.

But the article is insulting Geoff, and isn't even true. It's really, really poor. You've hit on the problem as well even though its a (very misguided) comment piece people will take it as gospel- that an element of the fanbase are trying to kill the club. We shouldn't be tiptoeing around him he should be apologising for it.

How come the Journos can be so far wide of the mark, and be seen to be sucking up to the owners etc etc, and not be brought to book.

Other places openly slagging off the trust etc etc.

Club ran and relegated by utter crooks.

Yet we, the Bunker, constantly told to move on.

Nobody on here was responsible for any of the above.

I understand your point Geoff, and I'd like to be the bugger person and say I agree. But I just can't. Loughlin and friends have actively undermined and mocked the so called "Detectives" since January, in the defence of Gary. He has sat with Coxall and Jones laughing at the pants questions from the Fans' forum forum like good friends. He was proved wrong, and yet a few months later he's on Look North talking about all the discrepencies he has noticed in the club. Meanwhile the Mail are offering no insight into what is happening at the club.

How can a few people with keyboards find out so much, whilst so called professionals find out nothing? That's what I want to know.

Exactly, I fully understand Geoff's point but the "detective" comment was poor form from a journalist. For example, an FOI request is a very common investigative journalism tactic which has been often been used to uncover a lot of stories. Odd that it was a "detective/keyboard warrior" who used it to find out ongoings from the club while a (presumably) NCTJ-qualified journalist couldn't...

Tees actually won an award for their coverage of our troubles but were quick to drop us when the following season started. Took them nearly 2 seasons to even start giving us more of a mention.

Thank God for social media, because if we'd been relying on the 'press' for answers we'd be still waiting. They're the Calvary who turn up after the battle, then report on what happened

Roy Kelly is a top bloke and a true Poolie. The lack of real local investigative journalism is down to those who edit and have destroyed the Mail.

Roy Kelly is a top bloke and a true Poolie. The lack of real local investigative journalism is down to those who edit and have destroyed the Mail.

That's a national problem in Journalism and these days life I suppose. Everything done, said or written has to get past and or authorised by three or four layers of authority , sadly most of it fails to get past the thought police.

Not investigating is one thing but actively ignoring and attempting to discredit evidence in order to support the crooks and slagging off those who seek to uncover the wrongdoings is quite another.

Wrexham fan here.
Very sad to see your club in the mire.
We've been there and through the work of the trust have survived even though we've been down in the National league for 10 years.
Our previous benevolent owners sold the club land to build flats for 6 million promising all sorts of benefits for the club. They then spent it all on attempting to get back in the League (after paying the debts of circa 2 million and the Administrators fees of circa 1million) it looked good for a short time but went downhill quickly and they racked up debts of £2.5 million
The trust put together a package to buy the club with the help of the University but at the last minute the Uni bought the ground for £2million and left the trust with the football club for £1 and a debt of £500k. Fortunately we had some football fortune to repay some of the debt and over a 2 year period were able to restructure the club both on and off the field with a trust and football club board that works for nothing. Even paying for their own tickets to matches.
It's a long hard road to get your club back on it's feet but you have a decent fanbase of around 3000 and can make it work.
Our club now has a 100 year lease on the ground @ £100k per annum, we are at present fighting above our weight and well above early season expectations.
Whatever level you play at, football success will generate revenue.
Trust ownership can be successful.

I wonder when Loughlin is going to apologise to the people he dubbed detectives and admit he was wrong.

Concurring.

I don't accept that. It's football, not national security.
