Easiest home banker in the history of football.
Harrisons after match interview saying bad game management again and missing our better experienced players. But yano we have to stick together cos with 2 wins in a row u fly up this league and we back in the play off mix.

We’re playing Dagenham not Real Madrid and they are in poor form, no wins in five. We have more of a chance with two decent centre half’s back we’ve not lost many with Watson on the pitch.

Talk of the 'playoff mix' is over optimistic. How many weeks have we spent in the top half of the NL with over half the season gone?
My guess is a couple. We are at best a bottom half table club that could still have a relegation 'wobble'. Our recent form (last 5 games) has been bettered by every club bar Woking so even the bottom four are making up ground on us.

In the unlikely event of making the playoffs, what would be our chances of promotion? Quite small with the thought that scratching ones way back to the EFL as did Forest Green last season is likely to end in further heartache. The team needs to be rebuilt and gain promotion in the style of Lincoln if there is to be a future back in the EFL.

Can see where you're coming from, but you could look at it another way, Dagenham are due a win. They haven't been playing that badly by all accounts despite the poor points haul of late. They have players who can hurt us like Ferrier and Cheek. It could be a surprise away win, but more chance of it been a rout in Dagenham favour imo. An in form Keith Watson alone is surely not going to save us.

Amazingly there are still some fans who think we have a chance of the play offs at 66-1. I think 66-1 to get relegated would be a better bet. Looking at the fixtures and the possible turmoil the club soon be in, reckon we will just about survive, THIS SEASON !

A rout?

Fuck me

They are 9th in an absolutely shite league, how many ‘routs’ have they dished out and how many times have we been ‘routed’.

I wouldn’t put on a single pound on us winning because we are crap but us winning there wouldn’t be any sort of surprise as I suspect they are also a bit crap. It will probably like most games in this League, a fairly even competitive contest with a tight outcome, saying all of that my prediction is Daggenham 7 (seven) 0 Pools.

PJ ! Take a chill pill ! I think pools could implode from now on in, that is why I said a rout. I think Dagenham have the players to hurt us, strong and fast , but as you say the league is unpredicatble , however i dont think we have played much of a part in many of the unpredictable scorelines/results.

Yes they routed Bromley 5-1 and Chester away 4--0 , tidy Goal difference, best team seen at Vic this season , having a wobble, but stats suggest perfectly placed to finish season strongly.

Go ahead !

They certainly have a good manager at this level he’s someone who knows how to put a competitive team together on a small budget and has good contacts. He’s one of the two names I mentioned in the summer to get us back up, it’s a shame I don’t think he’s managed past Watford Gap in terms of Northern jobs!

Yes he is one of the blokes I rate at this level as well. He would never come up here though , same with Coleman at Accrington , good little jobs at good little clubs , where the manager can easily commute to were they were born and bred and possibly still live. Wonder what happened to Neil Aspin ?

He’s manager of Port Vale.

The one we should have and could have got is Gary Mills.

I know, and I said to myself when they got him, they will make the play offs. It hasn't been plain sailing so far, but I reckon they will start moving up the league quickly now. Great result v Luton and great player in Tom Pope, surely Championship material?.

Having Watson back means we are not going into game knowing that we are guaranteed to concede at least one goal from an error, and knowing that conceding 2 or 3 is quite likely.

Funnily enough, Watson and Ledger both played against Dagenham in the home leg.

Providing Deverdics isn't forced to play left back again, I fancy our chances for the first time in a while on Saturday

Actually, our record when both Watson and Ledger have played is impressive.

Won 3, drew 2, lost 0. Scored 8, Conceded 4.

It's amazing what having confidence in your defence can do to your midfield, and in turn to your attackers.

Fair comment ! Gives us a chance if nothing else. Simpson played v Dagenham as well, just saying like

Don't be daft, get yersel there man. New ground for you isn't it? You're not missing much in that respect. I sometimes go in home end at away games for a change, you get a different perspective on the game. Decent pub not far from ground called The Eastbrook , though its easy enough to go somewhere swanky like Tap East at Westfield/Stratford and then get tube to Dagenham. Last time we went to a rough and ready but really good lively pub called The Barking Dog just outside Barking station , just one or two stops before Dagenham I seem to remember.

Can't see us getting anything out of this game like even if they are in a bit of a dip in form 2-0 to them 169 poolies.

Harrison's Zero's battered from the start, 4-1 Daggers. Donnelly penalty in his final game for the club - if selected that is.

Teams in, Oates out injured. Almost as if leaving a clearly injured player on the pitch for 20 minutes is a great idea.

Pools: Loach, Magnay, Ledger, Watson, Deverdics, Hawkins, Woods, Donnelly, Adams, Cassidy, Franks.
Subs: Catterick, Laing, Munns, Newton, Rodney.

I'd have started Rodney, played well last week and Harrison's been bigging him up in the paper. Bit of a kick in the balls to be benched after that.

I'd quite like to see us play 2 up top, maybe 3-5-2 but it will never happen.

That's what my first thoughts were. Unfortunately Harrison has decided to put Deverdics left back and Adams left striker. Utterly ridiculous
