Just looking up the bloke who has been appointed solicitor by Pools to oversee the sale of the club, Geoff Cunningham, particularly cheery for all of those fans of positivity is his Twitter handle @insolvencyGeoff

We’re fucked aren’t we?

He looks about 14. Have we went to him because he’s a YTS?

He's probably started drafting the insolvency reports on the conduct of the directors and is ready to help them negotiate the pitfalls of preferences whilst they plan the precise moment to go for creditor protection or appoint an insolvency practitioner (who probably plays U17 football with the bairn who Pam has appointed).

I quite like his Twitter handle to be honest it’s what it says on the tin. We’re insolvent so we have turned to @InsolvencyGeoff if Coxall had been called@PathologicalliarGary or @AssetstripperGary I reckon people would have been less willing to engage in laddish banter about his dress sense.

So the undertaker's turned up at the death bed to measure the corpse while it's still warm.

If this is true, it seems a bit of a balls up by the club. Not sure that sends out a very reassuring message to those employed by the club a few days before Christmas.

If I was a player in such circumstances I'd be looking for a club as they've more or less been given a redundancy notice, so time for them to move on.
Hardly ideal preparation for upcoming matches.

Obviously likes cooking, which should come in handy when he looks at the clubs books.

Insolvency and restructuring as area of practice.

What is more worrying is that he is only 3 years qualified. Cheap option once again by pools or possibly just the contact point at Walker Morris?

The other board reckons he handled Orient in the summer.

He was part of a 9 Man team at walker Morris solicitors who helped the acquisition of the club with life long fan and millionaire Nigel Travis.

So we have Geoff on his own. And we have no life long millionaire fan.

If pools did go into liquidation the directors conduct for the last three year (which includes Pam & coxhall) would be investigated within three months of the liquidation/administration and once the insolvency practitioner is appointed there sole purpose is to get the best realisation for the creditors. So if it was because of the directors pulling money out from the club there would be a misfeacance claim against the relevant director.

I know it’s not what everyone wants to think about but no one is going to want to buy a non league club with that amount of debt. If an insolvency practitioner was involved and managed to save the club via a administration then all the existing debt would be written off and it would be a fresh start. I can see Pam being reluctant to do that though because it would tarnish her reputation.
