Me personally,

Woodsy, At least we have one midfielder that puts his foot in now and then not scared of a 50/50.

Oatesy , Can play down the middle and both wings so a bit of versatility doesn't go a miss.

Franksy, Again can play down the middle and both wings and gets a few goals here and there.

Scott Loach, Should be playing at a higher level got knows how he isn't, I'm dreading January.

Ermmmmm struggling here, Maybe Deverdics for his left foot and the odd half decent free kick, Rodney has potential but clearly not showing it.

Can't think of anyone else that springs to mind, Maybe I should be beaten with a shamestick for this thread then maybe not but football is a game off opinions and this is mine.

Feel free to add any who you would keep or keep for next season.

I'd agree with keeping adeyole same as Phil said just purely based on that half hour i seen him play.

Would anyone consider keepin jack munns? Full of energy like runs around a lot wasn't he also in the Cheltenham team that went up? Correct me if I'm wrong.

Not sure whether you're taking the piss or not with at least three of those...

No I'm not. I think there is a decent player in there with Laing and Adams. Both have been outstanding when playing against us in the past. Its our piss poor club that brings the worst out in players. The question set by the OP was WHO WOULD YOU KEEP?. I believe a good manager with the right staff at a forward thinking club with a strategy in place would be able to get these players playing. The fact they are turning in Sunday League performances at the moment at a club that is run like a Sunday League club has nothing to do with the reason why I picked them.

We kept loads of failures from last season and things have just got worse .... How would keeping any of this year's failures work out any different?

I'm sorry but Laing is a complete liability and has been most of the season. His performance at Dover was the final straw for me, the kid is way too soft to be a lower league centre half and has an annoying habit of losing concentration at key times . No idea when he was outstanding against us in the past, that game must have passed me by, unless it was a pre season friendly.

He has cost us about 6 goals already this season, possibly more. Compare that with a kid like Adam Jackson who maybe made one error in a full season in a bad side. Or Christian Burgess. Those lads were clearly capable of playing League One or even higher. Can you imagine Laing in a League One side against League One attackers ? It doesn't bear thinking about.

As soon as Ledger and Watson came into the team you saw what a difference having two proper centre halves made to the side.

As I have said, my inclusion of Laing is based on what I think he could become not on this seasons performances, which I agree have been chronic. His outstanding performance v us was for Notts County. Agree Burgess and Jackson were and are better players but not sure what that has to do with it like. I rate Ledger highly but never included him as he is on loan, I would keep him if loans are allowed , but he is never going to sign for us anyway, Watson exactly type of player we need but concerns about injury record so wouldn't keep.

Lets hear who you would keep then Chip? its easy to criticise.

Loach, Magnay, Adams, Watson, Featherstone, Newton & Franks.

Why the hell people are wanting to keep Oates I'll never know.

Forgot about Richardson, I will add him to my list as well.

I thought about Featherstone but decided against it. I think keeper is overated , but believe at this level you'll be lucky to get an 8/10 keeper every week, think if outfield players are good you could get away with an average keeper. Was in two minds about Donaldson as well , but gave him the benefit of the doubt. At end of the day on current form apart from keeper you could bin them all , but we know to replace them with 18 or 19 new signings is unrealistic. It had to be a slow, gradual process, get rid of 4 or 5 and bring in 1 or 2 better players with a combined wage say that would equal the 4 or 5 that were let go. The fact we never did that from 2010 onwards was part of the reason we are now in the cack on the field.

A better question would of been , which 10 of current squad would you get rid of. We need a squad of 18-20 players who are settled, involved every week and have a history of playing between 35 -50 games a season at previous clubs , with a good mix of ages , 2 or 3 , 18-21 year olds, 5 or 6 in mid twenties and a couple over 30. Its not rocket science but seems to allude every recent manager.

Dover did exactly that earlier this year and hit the ground running in the first game against Pools.

I’m always sceptical about rating a player because he had a good game against us in the last five or six years for obvious reasons.

Take away Featherstone and Simpson from Chips retained list and you have my choice although I appreciate that it’s all mince pie in the firkin sky.

The Groundsman should be the first one out of the door imo.

These cloggers have excelled playing against us on our bowling green of a playing surface.

I say get rid and replace him with the Groundsman from Workington :animals-dogrun:

I don’t take the Mail seriously. The usual guff about everyone up for it and other bollocks is just tedious.

 When you read the reports, it’s like they were written by a sub contracted political journalist in Vietnam whose only reference material is old programmes posted to him.
