Professor Sir Ara Darzi, who did the review that kept the hospital open has been named Parliamentary Under Secretary in the Department of Health under Gordon Brown, so with Patricia Hewitt gone and Darzi in why isn't Iain Wright making a renewed effort for the Darzi report to be followed?

I would stand but for two reasons; 1/ I live 150 miles away. 2/ I was a bad lad some years ago and they would have a field day.

The novelty value may be the secret factor in the exercise and attract lots of lovely publicity ... and as the Hartlepool public have a pretty poor opinion of politicians, you may get votes from those who don't normally vote. What's the odds that as soon as this appears we'll have some new member with a more than unhealthy interest in proceedings

ok, let me try another approach...... about £70'000 a year plus expenses.

Mr Offshore Poolie MP sounds good to me though.

When he says plus expenses, the expenses are about 30K for you to pay a salary to a secretary and then there's another allowance for a residence in London, you claim all your travel etc etc etc. These bastads have got their noses well into the trough I can tell you.

Here's a for instance. If you have the thinnest of excuses, you can claim travel to any country in the EU. So lets just say you want to go to Rimini. You ring the Mayor of Rimini and say.'I want to come and talk about your dustbin collections.' MoR says 'OK spud, Wednesday at 1pm, drinks are on you.' So you and the wife and veg get on the plane to Rimini, check 'em all in at the Rimini Hilton, go and spend ten minutes talking about how they collect all the empty spaghetti cartons in Rimini, get him pissed and then you go and spend a week on the beach and in the gay bars at the tax payers expense. Come home, put a fookin great expense claim in, no questions asked, job done.

Location: the pool
how many members are there on the bunker and other poolie boards, because i,ve done a few simple maths for the deposit

100 members=£5.00
200 members=£2.50
300 members=£1.25

also most of us would probably have a printer, so thats the election material sorted, we all could print our own pamphlets and deliver them round our local area.
