Good that, thanks for putting it up. Both Pools goals very good finishes, Rodney very composed again with his finish like the 2 against Donny.

Shields look a decent team with some useful players

Good of them to put 24 mins of a defeat up.

I thought the keeper could do better with the free kick although it was a good strike.

Glad they stopped showing the shite replays from behind the goal in the second half!! Good highlights apart from that though.

Great finish from Rodney and looks like he is starting to choose the right option more than not in general build up play aswell.

Hope Adams isnt fit as their guy kept walking past him.

Loach is one hell of a signing!

Quietly I reckon Loach is a better keeper than Carson who I liked as a character and thought was a good keeper but he was possibly little overrated and you could see why he's only really played in the lower Leagues. I have no idea how Loach has ended up being at a National League club he has all of the attributes to play at a higher level including being a good pro and having leadership qualities something our dressing room was lacking.

It's easy to see how he made a full England squad once for Fabio Capello when he was playing for Watford. When he signed I assumed he'd had injury problems but doesn't seem so, just hasn't been fancied at other clubs for whatever reason.

OK. Forced myelf to watch all of that.

I am sincerely hoping that those highlights were home biased.

If not, then fucking hell, we really arent very good.

I suppose those with a glass half full mentality will say we were resilient.

Those glass half empty will say that our defending was fucking desperate.

Even just with highlights I have never seen defenders on so many occasions be incapable of clearing their lines.

Scary.

They appeared to walk through us at will.

Must have been home biased highlights surely? SURELY?? bbolt

Just commenting on what I saw.

Hardly a crime is it?

But if you a row then give it your best shot.

seems to be a lot aggresive pools fans around these days so you might as well join them.

I think walk through us at will is slightly hysterical even by your standards, they didn't really have that many chances, Loach made two saves in the match and they hit the bar with a good strike. We had a young lad at right back who's a centre half who was called in ten minutes before kick off and Harrison and Laing at centre half who putting things politely haven't been great and Deverdics playing left back. It was a makeshift back four and the commentary I was listening to which was South Shields biased said we weren't really troubled second half and defended our 2-1 lead comfortably, oh and overall the scoreline was the correct one on the balance of play.

I don't think the reply was aggressive I just think people are a bit bored of your borderline trolling. I'm sure it was funny about ten years ago.

That was a good watch, though I doubt Scott Loach will want to see the behind the net shot of him being nutmegged for their goal! That said, I agree that he's at least on a par with Carson and has already earned Pools some league points with his displays.

What's with Jack Munns congratulating everybody except Devante Rodney when Rodney scored?

Maybe he had a go at him at half-time as he didn't seem interested first half, for what it's worth I was at the game and people around me were saying that Rodney needed hooking at half-time, we were poor first half but much more up for it in the second, and it didn't help that we had to change the back 4 after Donnelly got injured in the warm-up.

Loach in a different league.
Arca went off
Pools defence dodgy
Rodney very composed to score that goal doubt the other 10 could
Rodneys positioning sense would be described as "experienced loitering! if he was 19 x 2 =38 yo
Deverdicks free kick brill
Shields were a very good TEAM!
