Tickets allocated for us at South Shields

Wouldn't have made sense to either ask the FA to switch to the Vic or a bigger venue??

Attendance: 579 (99 away)

Don't quote me on this but it might have something to do with away fan ticket allocation for FA Cup games as in percentage of ground capacity offered to away fans......this could be complete bollocks of course and be something to do with segregation but I can't imagine that being the case either.

In short, I don't know.

If the club is keeping back 75 tickets for people I find it quite unpalatable.

No easy way of doing this, and people with jobs, especially ones working out of town, are always going to lose out because they cant go and stand outside the ground for 2 hours waiting in a queue. To be honest you probably have more chance and be easier just going in the Home End.

Hope those that go to away games regularly manage to get tickets, but I guess it is inevitable that some of them wont.

I agree Chip I'm not sure how'd they'd do it be the people who go to all the away games should get tickets. I know big clubs who sell out regularly do this with supporters getting points every time they buy away tickets which is a fair system.

This situation hardly ever comes up with Pools though so you can't really blame anyone. Those who turn up earliest will get them I suspect the regulars will manage to get hold of a ticket.

From memory away team are allocated a percentage of the ground capacity, dependent on H&S (of course). As for changing venues this was changed a few years ago as it was seen to devalue the competition, some non league team played a prem team and switched to the prem ground. This was before the prem teams played their res/ youth players in the early rounds.

I always thought that the away team got a percentage of the grounds capacity. So I find it strange that York got 480 tickets & we are getting 405

It's all to do with segregation and safety. It's a Northern League ground so I imagine the Police have been involved in discussions or they are using a different area to segregate the Pools fans from the York game. It is what it is we got relegated from the League and now we're griping about ticket allocations at South fucking Shields in the -1 round of the FA Cup.

I'm fairly sure it's not anything worth getting excited about. It might just be as simple as them giving us 15% of capacity as they are expecting a sell out from locals which again in my eyes is fair enough.

I find it quite hilarious how we seem to have adapted to our level so easily.

It's two non league teams playing in not even the first round of the cup.
