Watching this game, reassures me a bit about the quality in this league.

Two of the favourites for promotion, lumping it forward, not being able to string passes together. It's not just us.

Football is a confidence game and this league probably exaggerates that even more. I have a friend who supports Woking and so I've followed their results over the years. I believe they are still part time and almost every season they find themselves right up there (they are currently third) but they have equally had disastrous runs where they've plunged into mid-table or lower. It often happens where there are lots of fixtures in quick succession. One season due to a number of postponed games they had to play Barrow away on a Tuesday night which has to take its toll on part-time players.

They can field a pretty decent first 11 but have little depth beyond that. I suppose it's fortunate then that most weeks we could swap 5 of the team on the pitch for 5 on the bench and it wouldn't make an awful lot of difference to the quality. I'm no more or less confident than Chip that we'll go up but I'm confident with everything I've seen lately that we'll be nowhere near the bottom.
