Yup, proper old fashioned Centre Floorboard. That night he scored the winner at Darlo was the day I got my first car!

Great win that. Also scored 6 against us. One in FA Cup , that denied us a chance to take the Shed End  and 4 in one game in a 5-2 defeat , later the same season , 81/82

R.I.P

My friends tell me I was at that Hull game, but as a 17 year old drunkard, I don't think I was.

That cup game it was freezing. Just after xmas, skint and country was in the grip of a really cold spell. Was only about 200 poolies there, but reckon 90% of them were radged.

Martin Burleigh super goalie ? or maybe not that day. February 82, it was around that time that the decline really started.
