Do you call anyone by a ridiculous name/title that most people would tell them to welcome to the board if they asked to be called by it?

With the morals that you stated regarding the Stonecutters, do you not feel you are being a giant hypocrite with some of your previous posts on the bunker? Certainly towards certain posters.

Freemasonry is a society of men concerned with moral and spiritual values. Its members are taught its principles (moral lessons and self-knowledge) by a series of ritual dramas – a progression of allegorical two-part plays which are learnt by heart and performed within each Lodge – which follow ancient forms, and use stonemasons’ customs and tools as allegorical guides. reason why most normal folk take

Do you not accept that this is a very good reason why most normal folk take the piss?

Mine about why he's claiming they admit women by pasting a link to a separate organisation that was formed when they expelled some lodges that admitted women about a hundred years ago doesn't seem to have posted. Apparently them and boys are on friendly terms now but they're still separate and you can't join the real Freemasons unless you have a willy.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR MEMBERSHIP

The three essential qualifications for membership to Freemasonry cover your spiritual, moral and physical aspects. The qualifications are as follows:-
The essential spiritual qualification is that you must believe in a Supreme Being. Membership is open to men of any race or religion who can fulfil this essential qualification and who can satisfy the other two requirements.

What the f uck? So in essence you have to believe in god. I couldnt join by admitting I believe in Daleks, and thet their leader is the supreme being? So you have to have a religious bent.

The moral qualification is that you must be of good repute, a loyal citizen and obedient to the laws of the land.

Ah, the laws of the land. I take it this can be a little bent in certain cirumstances. Coppers, Judges, Head teachers, Referees etc.

The physical qualification is that you are male and must be at least 21 years old (although in certain circumstances dispensation can be granted from 18 years old). This age qualification exists to ensure that you are free to formulate your opinions, and exercise your own judgement.

But we all lied when we hinted that women werent allowed in eh? Bresslaw, you blatently lied here, and have broken your own ethical code

Wives, partners and families of members are of course, encouraged to enjoy many of the social aspects of Freemasonry, but it is only men who are eligible for membership.

Why would they? And what woman would want to marry a fella into this kind of ritual nonsense?

What is the special dispensation? Ones in good jobs who can help out with things? Really fit ones?

They started trying to recruit students at various universities about ten years ago but the Oxford University lodge dates back to 1817 while the Isaac Newton Lodge at Cambridge University was founded in 1861. In other words they bent the rules in favour of privileged young gentlemen who were almost certain to become influential in the civil service, the law, the armed forces and politics. I can't think why the other masons would want to do that.

If they want to come on here to promote their organisations we'd discuss it. But they haven't, so we can't.

anyway, that page that says it epxlains how to join the freemasons, doesnt actually tell you how to join.

It just states that to get in, you have to have sucked up to someone who is in. And then go through some ritualistic process like this I believe:

Its the Grand Master Flash that does the pulling of the organ.

To paraphrase Groucho Marx, I don't want to belong to any club that will accept me as a member.
Mind, we could all join and create a new type of masons and get rid of all the dressing up and spooky ritual and replace it with an happy hour. Then...... the name would have to be changed. Masons sound very old fashioned, a bit 19th century, so that would have to go. Any suggestions for a new name...?

There are very few masons left, stone masons, and not that many brickies.

I think we should be called the free cladders.

I like that one, but 'free' also sounds a bit 19th century, how about ' unattached ', giving us the 'Grand Order of the Unattached Cladders'.... Which also sounds a bit dangerous.
Oh and we'll allow women in because we aren't intimidated or threatened by them.

Its not the getting murdered that bothers me, its the covering up of the crime by plod and the judges.

I can cope with being murdered. But not to get justice..........well.

Dear Snowy, I would like to think that the Unattached Cladders will be making regular charitable donations to the community through the selling off of your nazi gold and hoarded Vatican artwork. This would send a clear message of what a great set of chaps (and chappeses in your case) that you are
