At the end of the day though if you constantly predict Pools and every single Pools player is going to be shite, looking at our illustrious history, it suggests you will be more right than wrong. It's hardly qualifying you for the post vacated by Nostradamus

A club on our budget can't expect to bring in a fully formed Nostradamus. Someone reasonably tall who can get the basics like tea leaf reading right while under physical pressure from hairy arsed cynics has to do.

You see this is the problem, if we are wanting to get back to the top level of forecasting the future we need to be signing prophets like Nostradamus who is capable of operating at a higher level. Shipton is a lower league prophet who hasn't done it for years and is just used to small attendances in a tin pot Yorkshire league

Mother Shipton?

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mother_Shipton

Having gone done my usual route for dismissing new signings as shite before they have played a single minute for us and visited her Wikipedia page I would have doubts about her height as most people from the 15 century were short arses. Have you seen how high they used make door frames??? Also despite her half century plus age I see no experience at Nationial League level or evidence of a goal scoring record. Hopefully her being reputedly 'hideously ugly' could help put opposition off but at the end of day more local clubs like Harrogate would have snapped here up by now if she was any good. She's no better than local based future predicting, cave dwelling hags based on my research.

Anyone actually been to Mother Shiptons cave? Must have drove past the sign hundreds of times but never actually been.

So why don't you do it then? or are you mad?. With our illustrious history , why say we will win the title or get promoted every season, when it hardly ever happens? sctatchinghead

Iv just managed two days without visiting this place because it's utter shite reading your constant digs in every thread.

Read one thread and there it is!

So he can't be any good because we signed him.

That's great logic that one.

There's no way I'm mad enough to predict Pools are signing the equivalent of the Messi of the National League nor that we will win the league.

Serious answer I suppose is that I just wanted us to be competitive this season and show signs of progress. I'm pretty shocked how bad it is so far but hopeful these additions will make some improvement and Harrison starts to pick a settled team and formation he trusts. So far I'm a bit shell shocked at how much of a clusterfuck the start of the season has been but I didn't expect is to take the league by storm.

So you see I'd be a rubbish Nostradamus, more like one of those indecisive prophets from the Life of Brian

Well I predicted between 8th and 11th , which isn't exactly predicting we will be sh*te as some allege I do every season. Maybe this season I will finally get it wrong.
