this is war P_G

Wee, sleekit, cowrin, tim'rous beastie,
O, what a panic's in thy breastie!
Thou need na start awa sae hasty
Wi bickering brattle!
I wad be laith to rin an' chase thee,
Wi' murdering pattle.

I'm truly sorry man's dominion
Has broken Nature's social union,
An' justifies that ill opinion
Which makes thee startle
At me, thy poor, earth born companion
An' fellow mortal!

I doubt na, whyles, but thou may thieve;
What then? poor beastie, thou maun live!
A daimen icker in a thrave
'S a sma' request;
I'll get a blessin wi' the lave,
An' never miss't.

Thy wee-bit housie, too, in ruin!
It's silly wa's the win's are strewin!
An' naething, now, to big a new ane,
O' foggage green!
An' bleak December's win's ensuin,
Baith snell an' keen!

Thou saw the fields laid bare an' waste,
An' weary winter comin fast,
An' cozie here, beneath the blast,
Thou thought to dwell,
Till crash! the cruel coulter past
Out thro' thy cell.

That wee bit heap o' leaves an' stibble,
Has cost thee monie a weary nibble!
Now thou's turned out, for a' thy trouble,
But house or hald,
To thole the winter's sleety dribble,
An' cranreuch cauld.

But Mousie, thou art no thy lane,
In proving foresight may be vain:
The best laid schemes o' mice an' men
Gang aft agley,
An' lea'e us nought but grief an' pain,
For promis'd joy!

Still thou are blest, compared wi' me!
The present only toucheth thee:
But och! I backward cast my e'e,
On prospects drear!
An' forward, tho' I canna see,
I guess an' fear!

Are you ready for Jesus?
Uh huh
Buddha?
Yeah
Muhammad?
Ok
Well, I like this
Let's Go

They're 5 miles high as the crow flies
Leaving vapour trails against a blood red sky
Moving in from the East towards the West
With Balaclava helmets over their heads, yes

But if you think that Jesus Christ is coming
Honey you've got another thing coming
If he ever finds out who's hi-jacked his name
He'll cut out his heart and turn in his grave

Islam is rising
The Christians mobilising
The world is on its elbows and knees
It's forgotten the message and worships the creeds

It's war, she cried
It's war, she cried
This is war
Drop your possessions all you simple folk
You'll fight them on the beaches in your underclothes
You'll thank the good Lord for raising the Union Jack
You'll watch the ships sail out of harbour
And the bodies come floating back
Watch the ships sail out of harbour
And the bodies come floating back

But if you think that Jesus Christ is coming
Honey you've got another thing coming
If he ever finds out who's hi-jacked his name
He'll cut out his heart and turn in his grave

Islam is rising
The Christians mobilising
The world is on its elbows and knees
It's forgotten the message and worships the creeds

"Get the gun, get the gun, get the gun"
"Stay away from the gun, stay away from the gun"

If the real Jesus Christ were to stand up today
He'd be gunned down cold by the CIA
Oh, the lights that now burn brightest behind stained glass
Will cast the darkest shadows upon the human heart
But God didn't build himself that throne
God doesn't live in Israel or Rome
God doesn't belong to the yankee dollar
God doesn't plant the bombs for Hezbollah
God doesn't even go to church
And God won't send us down to Allah to burn
God will remind us what we already know
That the human race is about to reap what it's sown

Islam is rising
The Christians mobilising
The world is on its elbows and knees
It's forgotten the message and worships the creeds
The world is on its elbows and knees
It's forgotten the message and worships the creeds
The world is on its elbows and knees
It's forgotten the message and worships the creeds
The world is on its elbows and knees
It's forgotten the message and worships the creeds

Armageddon days are here again
Armageddon days are here again
Armageddon days are here again
Armageddon days are here... again

Well its obvious isnt it.......

Small, sleek, cowering, timorous beast, O, what a panic is in your breast! You need not start away so hasty With hurrying scamper! I would be loath to run and chase you, With murdering plough-staff.

I'm truly sorry man's dominion Has broken Nature's social union, And justifies that ill opinion Which makes thee startle At me, thy poor, earth born companion And fellow mortal!

I doubt not, sometimes, but you may steal; What then? Poor beast, you must live! An odd ear in twenty-four sheaves Is a small request; I will get a blessing with what is left, And never miss it.

Your small house, too, in ruin! It's feeble walls the winds are scattering! And nothing now, to build a new one, Of coarse grass green! And bleak December's winds coming, Both bitter and keen!

You saw the fields laid bare and wasted, And weary winter coming fast, And cozy here, beneath the blast, You thought to dwell, Till crash! the cruel plough past Out through your cell.

That small bit heap of leaves and stubble, Has cost you many a weary nibble! Now you are turned out, for all your trouble, Without house or holding, To endure the winter's sleety dribble, And hoar-frost cold.

But Mouse, you are not alone, In proving foresight may be vain: The best laid schemes of mice and men Go often askew, And leaves us nothing but grief and pain, For promised joy!

Still you are blest, compared with me! The present only touches you: But oh! I backward cast my eye, On prospects dreary! And forward, though I cannot see, I guess and fear!

So says the silly mouse!

It would have been VERY funny if the "Allah" chanting Asian had carked it, but I take it you mean innocent people not Jeep-driving cranks?

A lot better that they both survived and were captured in my opinion. Least there is now a chance to interogate them and possibly (unlikely i know) find out some vital information from them. They are no use to anyone dead and at least this way can rot and be attacked/raped in the shower/tortured in jail every other day.

Very unlikely Tree. They will most likely end up in a top-security nick like Peterhead or Belmarsh where they will be under the watchful eye of a camera 24 hrs a day.

Shame like.

Not much revenge on a failed suicide bomber surely??

They found an Islamist terrorist training camp here right up north near the Kazakhstani Border. They went up, mob handed, surrounded it at dead of night, then went in and shot the bounders at dawn. Including the Chinese who'd helped set it up.

Problem solved.

They don't fcuk about here.

Any chance of inviting Gordon over for a crash course?

This whole problem is a bit horrifying isn't it? Your average terrorist at least has a point, usually, even if his methods are dodgy...but with this you have a set of people who it could be argued are clinically insane, intent on taking over the world. Sometimes I wish the greenhouse effect would get a move on and finish everyhting off.

He'd have to walk obviously so his 'carbon footprint' wouldn't grow while he was visiting nasty polluted/polluting China.

Kill all the terrorists... a bit of a paradox don't you think?

A bit like that banner at the muslim protests in London which said 'behead those who say that Islam is a violent religion'

I didn't realise until early this year that it's still legal to hang people in England. Crimes such as arson in Her Majesty's dock yard and Treason. It's never gonna happen, but still legal. Therefore, all towns that have a port have to have a registered 'hang man'. I only found this out because Hartlepools 'Hang Man' lives next door but one to me.

Really?? Has he got a gallows in his back yard??

Are you sure your old man isn't winding you up?? Like the Bunkerite who tells his kids that the Ice Cream Man only rings his chimes if he's got none??

# 1971. Arson in Royal Dockyards ceased to be a capital offence, or in fact any specific offence.
# 7th of July 1986. Kevin Barlow (along with Australian Brian Chambers) were hanged in Malaysia's Pudu prison in Kuala Lumpur for drug trafficking, the first Briton to die for this offence.
# 21st of July 1989. Derek Gregory becomes the second and to date, last Briton to hang for drug trafficking, also in Malaysia.
# 10th of July 1992. Anthony Teare became the last person to be sentenced to death in the British Isles for a contract killing in the Isle of Man. The sentence wasn't commuted: the Manx Appeal Court ordered a retrial in 1994, by which time hanging had been removed from the Isle of Man Criminal Code. The new sentence was therefore life in prison.
# 1994. The last House of Commons vote on the reintroduction of the death penalty was defeated by 403 to 159.
# April 16th, 1996. John Martin Scripps becomes the last Briton to hang for murder in Singapore.
# 1998. Death penalty abolished for crimes committed under military jurisdiction.
# 20th of May 1998. On a free vote during a debate on the Human Rights Bill, MP’s decided by 294 to 136, a 158 majority, to adopt provisions of the European Convention on Human Rights outlawing capital punishment for murder except "in times of war or imminent threat of war." The Bill incorporates the European Convention on Human Rights into British law.
# July 31st, 1998. The Criminal Justice Bill of this year removed High Treason and piracy with violence as capital crimes, thus effectively ending capital punishment.
# 27th of January 1999. The Home Secretary (Jack Straw) formally signed the 6th protocol of the European Convention of Human Rights in Strasbourg, on behalf of the British government formally abolishing the death penalty in the UK. It had been still theoretically available for treason and piracy up to 1998 but it was extremely unlikely that even if anyone had been convicted of these crimes over the preceding 30 years, that they would have actually been executed. Successive Home Secretaries had always reprieved persons sentenced to death in the Channel Islands and Isle of Man where the death sentence for murder could still be passed and the Royal Prerogative was observed.

Talking of conventions of human rights, it's interesting to note that France, which lauds itself as the shining beacon of human rights and is the first to criticise capital punishment anywhere in the world, abolished the death penalty 15 years after the UK did.
Brits don't talk about it they just get on with it.

me and the wife chuckled yesterday at the ban on smoking inside Kings Cross station - the fumes from the trains were choking every man, woman and child inside the concourse as there is no way for the fumes to escape efficiently. There is no way (based on the technicality of serving food in a smoking environment) that food should have been on sale in those baguette stalls!!! Even if 300 people were all having a tab in there, it would not have made the slightest difference to that poisonous atmosphere!!!!
