The first few chances we had , FFS! weak as piss and off target. To be fair, Macclesfield missed some sitters as well , but there was a bit more venom behind their shots.

That Cassidy effort where he slowly passed it to their keeper... like FFS ! u know the ball is coming put ur head over it and smash the fookin thing !!!

Munns aswell with an absolute pish poor effort straight at the keeper (suppose that's why these guys are playing at this level)

Wasn't it just, the standard of play , the ground , the zero atmosphere. I reckon the Maidenhead game will be embarrassing actually, be more atmosphere in Central Library. Only the travelling poolies getting a few down them on the Grand Central can save the day.

Its possibly THE worst Train "Service" in history. I know there are plenty of Pools fans really winging it by being on the early GC on Saturday. It's tight enough as it is..but I'd bet my mortgage on that being affected too.

I am surprised to hear about problems with Grand Central. For me its the best franchise out there. Most comfortable trains, and rarely lets you down.

I was on from York last night, and it was fine.

Saw that last night. Not sure how they are going to make this work, with such ridiculous ticket office hours and such a temperamental machine.

Infact I CAN see how its oing to work. Fucking chaos. :angry-tappingfoot:

Trans Pennine for me. One thing I like about the GC is the leg room, probably one of the benefits of ancient rolling stock. Ticket Barrier at Hartlepool station ? now do I not like the sound of that, more likely ticket office closing than opening longer.

Those coal fired power stations are closed now aren't they? that plan B route is a chore, goes through lots of villages and small towns of Nottinghamshire and probably not far off Lincolnshire. Ok if you like train journeys and industrial history I suppose.

Cross country are a bit iffy, but they are luxury compared to my personal hatred....Transpenine express. The train from hell.

I went from Manchester to Cardiff a fortnight ago on Arriva Wales. Now that was experience. 4 hours on a two carriage train with no buffet car.

11:40am, getting the GC from Hartlepool to York first.

I could list you 20 examples of why transpenine is shite. Not least the fact that even though they know its going to be rammed, they still only put three coaches on.

And when they take bookings for 6 coaches, incl seat reservations, they turn up at York with three coaches.

And thats just the start.

It is likely to be over crowded with people going to Manchester or Liverpool for the weekend.

And god help you when it gets to Leeds and you see the amount of people trying to get on.

May of been easier getting on at Northallerton in terms of getting a seat.

That's probably a different route Wommers, probably longer train. Were talking about Newcastle - Liverpool service or Boro - Manchester Airport, last train to Calcutta

Can only assume they've seen the success pools had with automatic turnstiles and didn't want to be left behind.

I think it's the same turnstiles that Coxall was going to install at the ground but they were delivered to the train station instead.

Hate TPX, Virgin East Coast can fuck off as well.

Virgin West Coast and GWR are the best operators in the country from my experience. Don't mind XC either.
