New Bowie album, which i thought I'd find a disappointment after all the hype, but is superb really. If you listen to 'Heroes' and 'The Next Day' back to back it sort of makes sense. I'm quite suprised he's came back as strong as he has because usually i'm cynical about these things. Deserves huge praise for coming back with new material. Its a strong album, that i would have thought would be on most critics end of year lists. I kind of hope he doesnt tour and just releases new albums.

I don't think Bowie's heart is up to touring anymore.

The albums that these two are from are both excellent. First one for folkiness, second for classic messy indie guitar business in a Pavement stylee.

Their Lean On Me/Unionise 7" is one of my all time favourite singles. It all ended very sadly but they were brilliant for a little while. The 12" of Keep On Keeping On was also excellent but walking like The Clash and singing like The Supremes was never going to be easy.

Decent little venue Think Tank, very small and intimate, holds about 250. Great gig, after they finished the set he grabbed his acoustic and just walked outside and started to do a few more songs, was fantastic!

On the subject of great forgottens I'm listening to Return (Essentials and remixes) by Little Axe. Superb and I can't understand why they haven't done better over the years. Hard to market because they don't fit into a genre I suppose.

well I am currently loving the new Rifles Album, None the wiser.

Now I accept they dont have a very thin girl, that looks like a boy, singer cackling like a hyena, and being so cool that only 6 people have heard of their foreign sounding group name, but it is a very good listen.

Most enjoyable infact. Better than anything else on offer lately.

Loving Under and over the most.

A very underrated under loved band.
