Obviously a bit of a mixed side and there wasnt much of a flow to our play, not much pressing and very little width offered by Mondal or Franks. Pen was a daft foul given away by a young lad that had just come on at half time.

Catterick for me is very small and we defo need a back up keeper.

Donnelly was our best player in my opinion, stong and commited ,id rather him than Harrison at centre half although he was at right back today.

Sadiku is a big unit but very slow and clumsy looking, got beat to headers by a lad about 5 inches smaller than him and on that showing i wouldnt have him.

George played 45 mins at centre half and looked fine, didnt have much to do really

Richardson had a good game at left back and he provided the width, looks good prospect.

Mondal was dreadful, weak, didnt look interested at all and never said a word all game and i heard Harrison shout are you not talking today, hes in a huff. Not good enough for me.

Featherstone still looks a bit overweight and sluggish, never really got in the game.

Deverdics was very quiet as well, never really got on the ball much.

Franks was no different to two years ago, kept drifting into dead ends and end product was poor, I wouldnt have him back

Maloney is very small and kept trying to over do things obviously trying to impress the manager. Good strike for the goal and possibly worth another look.

Cassidy played quite well, won a lot of flick ons and held ball up well but had very little service all game.

I know its just a kick about and I dont read too much into friendly games really. A nice little afternoon out though!

Fair comments from RichyHpool.

But I was generally disappointed with the effort and organisation - and what went off between Harrison and the linesman? A friendly and the lino is shouting at him 'last chance, get back in the hole'.........................

He was moaning at him about coming out the box yet the Whitley lads were constantly outside it! I think he was annoyed about some of the tackles flying in. Agree about the organisation, a lot of players didnt seem to know what there roles were and it was very congested in the middle due to the lack of width we had.

It was a makeshift side. They looked good going forward first half and kept trying to pass it around. Second half wasn't so clever but considering how many players in that side aren't fully fit I think the first 45 was a fairer reflection of what they're capable of.
