I believe at the open trust meeting that Pam Duxberry told us that the clubs books would be handed over to an auditor from supporters direct for them to inspect and report back to the trust. We were told this would be done at the end of June when the clubs auditors he'd completed their work, have the books been handed over and how long before a report is published.

I believe a similar statement was sent out by The Supporters Trust to its membership, or is about to be.

Nothing new in that statement. Told us at the open meeting that the year end audit would be done by end of June and the books given to supporters direct, well its now the end of July and she is saying in the Echo article "There is a lot of work to do here, what I want is to get the year end audit completed and it seemed a sensible approach to do an audit and then get Supporters Direct in to partner up with a due diligence process" . Exactly what she told us at the meeting in May only she said the audit would e done by end of June and then handed over for due diligence to begin. Seems to be be pushing the handing over of the books further down the road and no mention of when the due diligence by Supporters Direct would start.

Delayed due to internal issues, these things happen and we believe she has the best interests of the club at heart, a little patience won`t go amiss.

Probably like many supporters, I thought we were a goner at the end of last season and it's clear we were very close to going into administration. That interview, on the back of others, is so welcome. Pam is obviously hardworking, gets what the fans want (via the trust) and she has the expertise to pull us through this. She's honest and realistic and we're really lucky that circumstances mean that Pam is at the helm at this time.
We enter the unknown next Saturday but it's been a strong pre-season on and off the field. We might not go straight back up but I genuinely think we'll look back on this time as being the turning point for pools. I'm well up for this season, which I didn't think would be the case last May!!

I may be a bit cynical but it seems to me that Ms Duxbury/Sage have their own interests at heart. I agree they are a legit company and the club is more stable under their ownership but like Coxhall they appear to have gained ownership of Pools for no payment, yes they bailed the club out with loans for how much we don't know, so now they own the club and the loan still appears to be owed. This must mean that when the club repay the loan Sage can then sell the club wether that's to the supporters trust or other investors who knows. Once again all monies going into and out of the club are kept secret. At the May meeting Ms Duxbury, in answer to a question from the floor, told us that the reason for outgoing transfer fees to be undisclosed was that other clubs would know how much the club has received and would then set their asking price for players accordingly but haven't all our signings in the close season been free transfers so how would the disclosure of fees received have effected any of our signings. Pools supporters and mushrooms have a lot in common.

I understand your concerns Mr Mugsy and rewind a few months and I wouldn't have trusted myself with the club ownership BUT you have to consider what has happened since Pam took charge.

How many owners would've had the balls to go to the Trust meeting for starters? She could've got an absolute verbal hiding.

Coxall was clearly a cowboy and she sorted his departure with, apparently, little money changing hands.

She's spoken up when there has been sufficient unrest amongst the fans about whatever our concern is at the time.

We've brought in a load of local companies happy to provide sponsorship now the cowboy has gone. I doubt they'd do this if Pam was as dodgy as Coxall.

We've brought in a load of players, albeit on frees, but I don't care. We've brought players in as opposed to running the playing squad into the ground and reducing the wage bill to a point where we follow York because the playing squad is made up of those we can't get rid of who are still under contract, kids and bobbins journeymen.

Finally, as far I know from reading on here, she has a decent and seemingly close relationship with the Trust - the 6 a side tournament was put on the main site, I doubt that would've happened under previous owners.

Other than the first message she sent out about buying season tickets I don't think she has put a foot wrong since. Buster leaving was a surprise and disappointing that a long standing and much loved staff member left in odd circumstances but this I suppose boils down to trust. Clearly something has gone off behind the scenes that only people in the know will ever know so you just have to go with it. He hasn't died and people lose their jobs every day, not saying it's right, just that it happens.

I honestly think she has our best interests at heart and I'm not just saying that because I'm desperate to believe her but because of how she comes across whenever I hear her speak as well as her actions to date.

Can't disagree with you Mr Shilts but we seem to have heard lots of platitudes about supporters being involved in the ownership of the club but there doesn't appear to be much in the way of concrete proposals. I have always being cynical about owners putting money into clubs. I do not believe for one second that hard nosed business people, such as I.O.R. or sage putting cash into a club that they dont support and have don't have any business interests or family ties to the town. This view was further reinforced at the supporters trust meeting in May when a presentation showed us the turnover and profit that Exeter has disclosed to the trust. Pools must have a turnover and outgoings roughly in line with Exeter yet we are told Pools are losing t least a million pounds a season yet without transfer income Exeter managed a 250,000 pound profit so I would like to know where the money goes at Pools. How much do the club owe sage and has anything been repaid possibly from transfer money. Just to clarify Sage should get their money back with interest but they should then allow the supporters to gain control for the same purchase price both Sage and Coxhall paid to gain control of the club.

This progress is better than winning the league.

Although I'd take that too.

I don't think pools fans n mushrooms have anything in common at all. If anything I think the fans should take a lot of credit for exposing gary coxall long before he left.

Compared to recent seasons, the club seems to be ticking along nicely. Although we all want to see the books, I'm sure its in hand, main thing now is a good start to season on the pitch, which will only help bring much needed revenue in.
