They'd probably be better off buying the best non-league players from the area than splashing out on has-beens but I guess that's what's gonna get people paying at the gate.

They're paying league one wages for players not really at league one standard anymore. There's a reason they've dropped so far down and £3k a week isn't it. Same reason we got the players I mention above.
If it gets them a few more fans then fair play but I hope they don't expect to walk the league as one of the Talksport gadgies just said, whatever extra quality they may bring they'll loose when they tire or get injured.

think they get 2000 on a good day. seems the way in non league for success is having a rich backer to bankroll you up the pyramid. fleetwood, crawley in the past and now forest green have this money no object approach where proper teams like pools and stockport have to rely upon what fans bring in. not a level playing field at all.
