Should be good enuf in this division to provide plenty of assists and chip in with a few goals.
If hes fully fit get him on board.

I think a bit of blind alley running with no great end product could be the final piece in the promotion jigsaw.

He's probably just training with us to keep his fitness up as he's from the area! I hope that's all it is anyway, as PJ said he had no end product and just ran into the corner flag like one of the players in an old computer game trying to run off the the screen!.

That's Steve Howards shots on target ratio I think.

I was a big Franks fan at the time, and regularly defended him on message boards, but gradually I couldn't defend him any longer. Still too many like him at the club, who have 1 good game in 6, so its a big NO from me. I think we have another Franks in Rhys Oates to be honest.

He's possibly the most frustrating player we've ever had. JUST GET YOUR HEAD UP MAN!!!!!!! Was heard so many times as he chose the wrong option.

I don't get people saying he'll be decent at this level, he's shit just because we've dropped a level we shouldn't think shit players will be alright. He's got a decent strike on him, but he can't cross or beat a man.

I agree Mr Glove. The Mill House Terrace experts gave him no chance - but they are all used to England quality wingers aren't they? He tried; at times he was decent, but just remember what was around him.....

In his last season at the club, and he played all season, he scored in one league game.

Didn't Flinders have a similar record?

Even more worrying is that both had a better record than foley's entire football league career in that one season.

To be honest i think he would be ok at this level providing he has progressed whilst up in bonny Scotland. I think he is very much a confidence player so if we all told him he is brilliant he might turn it on.
Someone needs to tell him not to look for discarded coins whilst playing football.

The odd game I've seen him playing for Ross County he didn't look any different to what we saw at Pools.

Probably one of those players who will never learn so best to avoid. He was also a cock when he left. Burnt his bridges and not really good enough to warrant a second chance

Looking through some of the training photos that Pools posted earlier today, I couldn't see Mondal or any other trialists that have been at the club, but Franks is there in training gear. Obviously been no announcement but with CH saying that he wanted to make decisions ASAP on the players, could this mean that Franks may be set for a return?
