Having seen what it looks like on pro footballers I dread seeing the average fan in one. Hardly flattering are they!

I'm not getting one til I know the sizing. Being an occasional takeaway fan I prefer my shirts on the baggy stylee.

I ordered one for the lad online and the expected delivery is.....wait for it.....the END of August.....what the fuck is that all about??

That's nearly the start of the 2018 season.

Given the fact I've paid for the chuffer already could they not have had a bugger made before then? especially as they're selling some in the club shop...cheeky bounders.

BLK OUT

In fact, I'm not going again until we change out kit supplier.

(BLK if you're reading it was ordered on the 8th July....two months for a shirt? Really?? I bet our friends in China could sort several thousand shirts in that time, send them in a container on a boat and they'd still arrive earlier than the end of August. Bobbins)

I know they usually supply Rugby shirts, so maybe that's why the neck would look big on a Rhinoceros. Don't like shade of Blue either. Usually get my son one , but may not bother this time around.

FFS.... after what we've put up with over the past few months you're lucky you've only got that to whinge about.
Yer prattling on about the cut of the shirt, the fucking colour, the size of the collar like two camp dress designers . I'm going outside to throw stones at the moon!!!!!!

you may mock Snowy, but wait until one of our fatter fans gets one and happens to be stood near you in the ground, and the grusome sight distracts you from the game.

Then mock.

I'm looking forward to it, guts bulging despite trying to breathe in so hard their eyes bulge and they keep blacking out. Then they have a drink and then lose all inhibition, resistance fades, gravity kicks in and the bulging edifice breaks free. The shirt strains like the creature on Alien is about to emerge and the industrial strength Kevlar/ Lycra combination gives up the fight and the beast is free. Match abandoned as stewards try to corner the quivering mass of dome shaped flesh and tranquilise the beast .
Sounds like more fun than footy to me.

Update ! just saw a pic of someone in the new shirt, and the neck didn't look as big as I first thought. Must of been an odd one that got past poor quality control.

Will have to get down the club shop and see this with my own eyes. If neckline ok , then will buy the lad one and pools will get £40 odd quid.

We used to have that problem too, shirts appearing well after the start of the season. Changed supplier to Avec and its been great. Despite hoops being a more bespoke design we have had our shirts available during the summer since going there. Our new ones have been available for a few weeks now.
The last time we had to wait till after the season started was when we used a rugby supplier trying their hand at football kits....

Joking aside and I appreciate we're on a bit of a high after lows and not wanting to piss on the bonfire but I can't honestly understand why the shirts aren't ready....should they not have produced a large-ish batch in advance? I have no idea how shirt suppliers work and I can understand not wanting to over-produce shirts but surely they'll know how many were sold last season and so could produce, I don't know, 500 fewer because we went down?

I'm sure it's more complicated than that and there are justifiable reasons but I still think it's a bit pants :)

Avec produced some of our stuff last couple of seasons (at least) I think......didn't some on here think they were a bit bobbins for some reason or another? God my memory is shit.

Would be nice to have all new kit available before the new season starts though as Mr Star says...

I wonder if we actually sold 500 shirts last season!

Hopefully its teething problems with a new supplier, who is also new to football kit. I intend buying asap as I think its the best for years.

Hopefully! The new home shirt is great, I will definitely be getting gone (either when they have large back in stock or once I've grown to 7XL). I haven't seen any of the casual kit but the hoodies in the club shop pics and the training wear look a bit too rugby style for me.

Avec did the kids shirts, which meant they were much cheaper and most little uns couldn't tell the difference anyway.
