Anyone going? Anyone with knowledge of the area able to advise of cheap parking? I know the event is free but I object to being ripped off for parking the car.

Wouldn't be a problem but with 3 kids tagging along it'd be as tedious as a PJ/monkeybutt argument.

been for the last few year, the easiest way by far is train to Seaburn and walk 30 minutes with the crowds.

We've been a couple of times and I thought we were going Sunday until about ten minutes ago but now we have others plans. We used the Park and Ride at the Stadium of Light without much chew at all, straight on the bus both times they are really regular no half any hour walk you getting dropped off right in the middle of things.

If only everyone would do the same it'd be much more enjoyable.

Why do you think PJ dislikes me? I could never compete with monkeybutt for PJ's affections.

Mr Crab, the answer is in the title!!!! It's an AIRSHOW, fly from Durham Teesvalley, refuelling at Horden (Bobby Thompson reference)! Saves the chew of driving and parking etc.

I must of got ripped off last year, sure I paid £10 for parking. It was to some local kids who also 'looked after' the car.

Go to Tweddle Farm, and watch them all fly by whilst feeding the cows. Two for one!

They must fly low to achieve that :o

They regularly claim that the attendance is a couple of million, which must include everyone in County Durham that gets flown over.

I'll try to remember to give them a wave from the back garden.
