Good to see Camerons Brewery with a tent at the Guildhall beer and music festival today in the city of London. Rarely see them down south but then again I don't go looking...

A rare sight indeed. Camerons do seem to be going in a different direction these days, not sure if it is the right one personally, but only time will tell. They are a unique operation , it never ceases to amaze me what they brew at the Lion Brewery, Fosters, John Smiths, you name it , they probably brew it.

As for their current brews , such as Roadcrew and Sleeping brewtea I'm not sure what they are trying to achieve. I know when their brews were simpler and more traditional, they brewed a cracking beer called Russells Mild, which had they exhibited at the Great British Beer Festival that year, I'm sure it would of won the best beer in the Mild category.

All breweries seem to feel the need to pay lip service to the craft fashion. It will fade away, and we'll be left with proper ale again. If I want to drink something that tastes of grapefruit I'll buy grapefruit juice. I like beer that tastes of beer.
