Spent pretty much all of the day watching Glastonbury. BadBadNotGood were brilliant, Wild Beasts fun and Father John Misty has been incredible.

Who would you fancy taking to a Radiohead disco then Mr Shilts? I wouldn't get my John Travolta suit on for such an event but other board members might be up for some miserablist fun.

Errmm....I reckon Mr Mutley would be a good laugh regardless of the tunes being played....I'd also invite yourself Mr Toulouse and Mr yloop as a minimum...oh and Mr Colonel because I think it would be amusing to watch the three of you sulk and bitch :)

You could have a miserable-off :)

I have already told you.

Jeremy Corbyn outperformed the lot of them.

Don't get foo fighters either. Typical American rock bollocks.

Watched a re run of Pulp when they headlined instead.

That articles about radiohead sums their fans up nicely. Daft fucker's.

This is going to sound really cuntish but my bet is the majority of people who despise Radiohead just aren't equipped to handle more than 3-chord music.
You no doubt have your own speciality in life that leaves everybody else standing; it's just that it's not music.
Now Radiohead might come across as pretentious, but so does Bob Dylan and he got a Nobel Prize for his pains. I fucking hate Bob Dylan, but that's not an issue when I listen to some of the amazing stufl he has written. Same with Radiohead.
Don't like them? Get over yourself.

Telling people to get over themselves when marginalising them. Good work.

It does sound cuntish and I can only think of one reason...

I'll let you fill in the blanks with your superior intellect.

Apart from watching a bit of Glastonbury I also watched some of the Download festival on Sky Arts, one band who stood out for me were Alestrom, I'd never heard of them before but what's not to like about a band whose music genre is classed as Pirate Rock

And as for Radiohead, I prefered to watch The Flaming Lips instead

Watched a bit of The Jacksons...one of them looked like fat Ronaldo playing a guitar.

Couldn't help thinking they were lacking a front man.

Flaming lips first and last song - beautiful. The one about purple eyed unicorns shitting everywhere was mental even by their standards.
Foo Fighters doing Everlong incredible.
Liam somehow got away with doing Don't look back in anger a Capella despite being almost tone deaf. I noticed Beckham was watching side stage. Wonder if Richie Humphies and Jon Bass were there too?

I thought Anthrax Durex in the "Preparation H" tent were stellar, especially when ex-Tap keyboard legend Ross McLochness guested.

Not a massive fan by any means but the killers were pretty good.

At least they entertained the crowd in a way is supposed to happen at festivals. Unlike radiohead and their complicated chords that normal folk don't understand.

Biffs Clyro superb. Sheeran is Sheeran, plus he signed my Pools shirt in 2013 thus quadrupling the value .

I enjoyed Biffy, Liam Gallagher, Courteeners and Ed Sheeran. Couldn't get away with Radiohead, think I would've fallen asleep if i was there.

Wasn't keen on them at first but I really liked Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots and have pretty much enjoyed everything they've done since. Maybe it was once Mercury Rev got well known enough to copy that they got good?

Listening to ESG's Step Off while doing a bit of work and I have to wonder how the likes of Ed Sheeran get to headline massive festivals while a band like them stays fairly obscure.

I did enjoy the Ed Sheeran song he did with Beoga.

Now that was more like it.

And it looked at times like he was miming. Very weird.

Nah, he has a digital version of the old WEM Copycat. It's a "looper"-type thing. He starts the song, plays 4 bars, which are "recorded" then instantly played back to use as a Backing Track. He then "adds" stuff on top of that to fill out the sound.

Getting back to Biffy Clyro, I noticed yesterday had not only an additional Guitarist "hidden", but a Keyboard player "off-stage" as well!! Seen them a couple of times and never noticed!

Seem to remember a story that they were called "Cliffy Biro" after a Cliff Richard pen that one of them owned?!

Back in the day I used to get sent loads of stuff by Beggars Banquet their label....got some really collectable Biffy stuff, could be the right time to cash in!
