If I'd known before I got the 9.32 Bus, my plans for the day may have changed! Where's Compo and Mr Mutley when I needed their psychopathic knowledge?

Apologies, I was misled. It was a sort of Open day / PR exercise. It is being decommissioned , and the scrapping of it will start soon. It was an interesting and a well run event nonetheless. Would loved to have got on it and had a mooch, but in these days of health and safety, if anyone thought they could do that, they probably believe in Father Christmas. Was good to see it close up like.

TBH not much too see, it's a condensed version of a chemical plant on legs, I spent years Offshore on Brent Aipha, Bravo and the Charlie which is huge. The Delta is minuscule compared too the Bravo and the Charlie, interesting too see how they are going too remove them.
Offshore is not as glamorous as it's made out, yep 2 and 2 but a very isolated existence, loads of marriage break ups and alcohol problems.
On their 2 weeks off people went on benders.

Bender started at Dyce... so many stories of Lads falling asleep and waking up at King's Cross.. I always prefered to fly... (harder to sleep in ! :) )

All depends how desperate you are for a drink. Never a priority in my life, saw the effects at an early age. I'm bemused by it now.

I'll be signing up behind you. The 2 on 2 off appeals, especially the isolated excistence which sounds great and of course the dosh.
