As it stands:

Loach
Magnay - Harrison - Donnelly - Adams
Donaldson - George - deverdics - munns
Cassidy - amond

But I think we will still make 2-3 more additions

Magnay (New CB) Donnelly/Harrison Adams

(New DM) George

Donaldson Deverdics Munns

Amond

I think we will piss all over this league bar maybe 1 or 2 teams who will keep it interesting for us - great new signings and I cannot wait to see how Munns and Donaldson do.

This is what I'd go with too. Plenty of option to change players around easily and change formation should we need to.

Would like to see a first choice winger come in, which gives plenty of competition for the attacking midfielders

We can't put Amond up front on his own again, it was obvious for the whole of last season that it doesn't work.

Loach

Magnay NewCB Donnelly/Harrison Adams

Munns George Deverdics at home/Featherstone away Donaldson

Cassidy Amond

no one has mentioned Walker at CB... are we all thinking he wont kick a ball for pools again or prefer a new CB over him ?

wonder if Donaldson could play further forwards and just off Amond or Cassidy. leave George/woods/featherstone to mop up in the midfield ?

yeh be great seeing another league 1 or 2 standard winger come on board and challenge for a spot, could really shake the formation up if we got a naturally left sided pacey winger.

Was that the same brunch when BLK had a bloke in this year's away kit serving the fried eggs? I went to that but I was distracted by the sausages and didn't pay any attention to what anybody was saying.

Munns George Featherstone Donaldson

Amond Cassidy

Still would like to see an experienced centre back and a central midfielder , both 6ft plus who can head a ball , come in , but I cant see it happening now.

Harrison saying he is hoping for at least one experienced player to come in for a key position and ideally 2 on top of that so there's still hope Mr Horden

Surely we MUST play two up top with Amond feeding off the big chap we've just signed?

Play all the players in their best positions and we'll be fine.

Surely we could even get away with a front 3 amongst this company?.

Donaldson is an interesting one, can play out wide or central midfield or up front. You would even think a couple of the youngsters like Richardson and Hawkes could force their way into the team at this level. Lets face it 2/3rds of the teams should be there for the taking , easy away wins, a few thumping home wins.

Playing 3 up top got us relegated....well it was more to do with coxall and Jones but you get my point. Personally I'm looking for us to stick to a system all the lads naturally know how to play in....so, 442.

Also from what that imps fan has been saying I wouldn't be looking to blood youngsters....by the sounds of it they could get bullied to fuck

Rodney would be on the bench to start the season for me. Bring him on with half an hour to go like we did against Donny.

Featherweight?

Is that meant to be a dig?

I have noticed elsewhere that this player is taking stick and it isnt even July yet.

We DO have some weird fans.

I take it, if Harriosn picks him, then Harrion will automatically come in for massive stick from these same people?

A new manager, new season, new league, yet players are being slagged off already.

I agree with whatever team the manager picks. Especially since I havent seen any of the new players play. And neither has any other fooker.

1961 for me, and I wasnt even born.

But I have had numerous offers for my new information, but I am frightened about it being duff info, and making me look an idiot. So I am not saying.

But its enough to say that Pam has gone up in my estimation massively.

At the moment she deserves our full support, and the ground is looking tidy again.

It can be related back to the England thread. Your typical English football fan (and it seems in particular, Pools fans) would prefer someone who can kick an opponent dead hard, and run a bit quicker than everyone else, over someone with actual ability and a footballing brain.

In every squad some need a scapegoat. It appears Featherstone is that in this one, quite a few grown men like turning up and abusing Brad Walker as well. Strange people a few of our 'support'.

He had some decent games last season and is very tidy footballer but it has to be said that at back end of last season when it really mattered he was awful. It could have been a confidence issue after the Jones debacle. He shouldn't be captain in a million years he is totally the wrong character and type of player but if he's going to be here we need to wipe the slate clean and get behind all of the players, certainly dropping purile nicknames should be a start.

I don't understand why Featherstone appears to be missing from training. Surely he is contracted to the club.

Is he missing? Would be in the news if he was meant to turn up and hadn't.
