Hiya all,

Tranmere fan here,

Few rumours our end that we are a number of clubs who have put a bid in for him

Cannot see it myself though as surely he will be vital for you if you are looking to go straight back up

Even if the rumours of the bid are true, the only reason he would want to leave here is for league football, something which after his form last year he deserves and will have plenty of offers for

Just bid around the £2k mark and the club will snatch your hands off.

When he said bid , I knew he was lying. Our players don't cost money. We are quite happy just to get them off the payroll.

I agree btw

We are one of the biggest payers in league ( and higher than some league clubs ) but surely he will want league football

If truth be told I was expecting you to be a main challenger to us but if you loose a lot of your squad its a hell of a rebuilding job

On the bigger scale I know non league is very depressing but there is a slight plus in a lot of the grounds have character and there are some really decent fans down here

I like Hartlepool so hope you do well and both of us can go up

You will be playing in the Championship before we next go up, believe me , but thanks for the kind words.

Not sure about others but I really enjoyed the playoffs against Tranmere and I include the fans I met around Birkenhead too.
Amond may not turn Tranmere down, they're more likely to go up than us and have a settled team who will create more chances for him. He also may not have a better offer if they pay decent wages as previously mentioned.

He's the player I'd miss most that we've sold/might sell.

He also lives in Manchester so will be closer for him to travel.

He is the last half decent player we had, its almost certain he will leave, just a matter of when. He was the player who could of done most damage in the Vanarama. Decent goals to games ration for a relegated team in league 2 last season and a shed load for Grimsby in the Conference the season before, worth 200k minimum.

When he goes the jigsaw is complete, just left with a team of no hopers. All the classic symptoms of a club in freefall.

We barely got £200k for a promising young winger with a not to dissimilar goals per game record, negotiating transfer fees apparently not a strength of Pam's. I can't see us getting £100k for Amond, probably closer to £50k.

I suppose we won't be signing anyone until contracts start expiring at the end of the month and even then it will be youngsters and has beens.
