Re-sign Fenwick, Austin and 55 year old Monkhouse and the Vic will be full every week. I hope you're reading Mr Harrison :)

That's 3rd time he has been released in 3 seasons from 3 different clubs isn't it?

That and sh*t goalkeeping, think he dropped a couple of clangers, and think had a run in with fans after one game as well. Watched the York v Macc FA Trophy final, and I reckon he should of saved the first goal. He looked poor in his final season for us, but was very good for 2 or 3 seasons.

Some clubs had theirs sorted before end of season just gone. I know things were up in the air at HUFC , but if they don't get a move on ours will look something like this :

Billingham Town - Away
Stag & Monkey Over 40's - Away
TNS - Home
Darlington 1883 Reserves - Away
Northallerton Town - Away
Mansfield Town - Home

I'm not going again until we announce pre season friendlies earlier.

I can picture the scene.

Harrison to Stag & Monkey manager - " we only have 10 players , can we borrow one of yours ?"

Its a reasonable moan I think. Its like signing players, you leave it late and you get what's left, the dregs. A well structured pre-season schedule is crucial to a successful season imo.

I would of thought it would of been one of first things Harrison wanted organising

I don't think it matters much who you play in pre season, it's fitness and miles in the legs, I remember when we had a good team us going to Holland and playing two games and winning both 12-0 against pub teams then us having a good season. Obviously a lot is going on behind the scenes that takes the lead over summer kicksabouts.

I disagree PJ. The season you allude to, we did beat poor dutch teams 12-0, but the friendlies after that were generallly competitive and well structured, we were undefeated in the last 3 , a draw v The Mags and 2 wins at home to Barnsley and away at Scarborough. The opposition , not too difficult, not too easy, gradually getting harder as you go on, and the timing of friendlies are very important imo. If that wasn't the case , why do other clubs arrange theirs before us and usually play better opponents?

But yes , this season , they can be excused for a poor pre season programme, due to off the field problems, but we may suffer for it

Didn't realise he is only 30, quite a fall from grace, as a keeper should be at his peak, wonder if he is carrying an injury. Unusual decline. Sure we would have him back, if he is prepared to play for 400 quid a week
