I'd back Cheltenham actually... No slur on them but by all accounts their team is as bad as ours and as erratic as a football side can get.. Maybe now that we've hit rock bottom and Jones is out of the way, something will happen and our players will suddenly realise they have to show some pride on the pitch... It's now or never, like.

Strangely, I still believe in a last minute miracle for Pools.

A win and a draw could see us finish above Cheltenham also.
If and a big if, we beat Cheltenham on Saturday, it would be interesting to see who would be favourites to join Orient. Cheltenham perhaps?
I'm just hoping that this time next week, odds to be relegated are still quoted for Pools!

Grimsby, this season.... oh the glory days!

Wasn't that the game Featherstone wasn't playing ? just saying like, think it had nothing to do with that, probably more down to the fact that Nsala, Magnay and Amond were up for it been ex Grimsby players, oh and Carroll wiping one of their players out in the 10th minute that was a clear red card offence. It was a great day out though.

Fancy us for a goalless draw Saturday, with Donny winning the title, which has to be best for us surely going into last game? probably without Bates, who will be suffering from exhaustion having given 100% the week before , defending the Alamo at Cheltenham.

If he isn't then scrub my 0-0 prediction. I reckon he will be playing , he has got to surely if we want a result of any sort, the few clean sheets we have kept this season, Bates was playing in most of them. Paynter is wearing a moon boot so he will be the one in the dugout I would of thought.
