It took 7 years for Morrissey to get a record deal and make a comeback. He had to finance his own tours.

Dexys Midnight Runners didn't have their comeback tour financed and still can't get a record deal...

But the Spice Girls can...

None of them have got a record deal have they?? All their solo albums petered out very quickly. Sound like a load of piggies having one last snoutful from the trough to me. I really can't see who they'd appeal to but I suppose they might.

I know that Take That have done OK since they came back but at least the fat frontman wrote some stuff and it had merit even if not that much. Their audience has stuck with them so the screaming 12 year olds are now 32 with kids. Of 12, it's self generating.

But you can't really see 32 year olds strutting about shouting about 'girl power' can you?? And you aren't allowed to talk directly to 12 year olds now for fear you'll nonce 'em up so they can't carry a message for the masses.
