How many relatives have played for us? Not necessarily together. The Gabbiadinis and Linighans stand out.

The Linacres.

There was a game after a couple of them left for somewhere when the Linaghans played against the Linacres I think

How did I forget Brian and Barry Murphy, both regulars at left back in the same team.

Yes, I believe John was his brother.

Used to run a Sunday League Team in Horden back in the day, and Brian would sometimes turn up to watch them, as I specifically recall him telling one of their lads to snap me in half.

Might have been Horden North Eastern ? Very dirty side.

I did hear you got snapped in half at a decent level

Brian's older brother, John, played for us 73-76 and I remember him well. Funnily enough, considering how much of a Legend Brian turned out to be, John was often a bit of a "target" for fans, which was a shame because even as a kid I can remember him always putting a shift in and being a pretty good player. I suppose Pools fans have always had to have one...
