Good stuff, if they are taking the club shop back under their control and Pam wants to look at increasing revenue etc from branding then makes sense to go forward with the badge the intend to keep long term.

Not quite sure why some thickets think this cannot be discussed while we are in a relegation battle. They are not mutually exclusive.

As to whats on or not on the badge, im really not fussed tbh.

I hope this means that the club shop does not become as shambolic as other areas of the business, the shop in fairness always appeared one of the most professional areas of the club.

Like hamster I'm not fussed about the badge much.

Oh and on a similar note was I the only one thinking how smart Wycombes away shirt was? No idea who manufacturer was but looked very nice indeed. Not sure how the likes of Bates etc would look in such tight tops mind.

When to the club shop yesterday - (travelled down from Newcastle to buy a load of presents for some friends in Germany - so had checked the opening hours in advance) it was closed - went to the ticket office and asked about the shop and was told that it 'should be' open. No further comment.

The deal with Nike/Pro-Sport would appear to have been piss poor from day one. I got the impression the Club were glad its come to an end.

A Club Shop should be a MASSIVE money-spinner if it's done properly, and I reckon it will be done properly.

We need our own Brand, our own range of stuff, and our own people running it.

You need to meet Russ Green outside of Verrills who will then send you club shop opening hours via a carrier duck from Ward Jackson pond.

The club badge survey...? They need less information for North Korean travel visa.
Let people put their designs forward and let the fans vote. DON'T let there be a judging panel because that's how we ended up with the present load of bollocks of a 'badge'.
It's not hard to sort out.

I lost interest when I saw the first set of questions, inside leg measurement, is that really necessary?

What is it about the Wheel you like? I can't stand it, looks like something off Captain Pugwash! and that "Continental" football in the middle , you know, the type of ball that HUFC have never, ever played with, and that were only used even in International Football twixt 1973 and 77?

Bin the lot and start again with something meaningful from our Maritime History.

I think the wheel is just associated with us now, it's been there for about 20 years and coincides with the decent press we've had. I don't particularly like it but why change it?

I'm not going against until the badge incorporates the Venezia logo, a Toblerone and Matty Bates' cock.

We'd have to make the players wear size XL shirts...

I'd like to see a simple badge, maybe just a Hart's head, and a simple non-branded kit like Oxford had a few years ago...

Because it's sh1t. The fact it's hung on for 20 years proves nothing. Keep it simple and imaginative, not boooooooooring.

The only thing I kept of that was the little metal badge the club produced.
Funny thing is, someone told me the club flag with that badge on was flown at a final at Wembley in the 70's when Pools reached the last 16. What final was it?

Hartlepool without the hart is just daft. I would however like to see it with the critter on its back.
And no stripes. Stripes have never been a permanent feature of Pools' kit. Blue and white could go in there somewhere though.

The problem with having a hart or stag is that Mansfield have it, and I really don't want to be mistaken for them.

I really think a monkey hanging from a gallows would be best. It's what we're known for and it would be unique.

Something simple that is silhouettes, making it easy for kids to draw on their text books/schoolbags/bus shelters etc. Also easy to tattoo (onto Pools fans noses when they get a prediction wrong).

Oxford and Forest have superb badges, design classics which have been around a long time and will continue to be. That's what we should be aiming for.

The Forest badge has been a classic since it appeared. Tells you where it's from and simple enough to copy by anyone ... perfect.
As for the monkey one, I was driving down to Portsmouth a couple of years back and had one of those Monkey Biz monkey head stickers in the back window. I stopped at Tescos in Towcester and as I came out two rather posh 'wimmmmin' we're discussing it and as I approached asked me why I had a racist sticker in the car..... I suggested that the only racism was in their minds.
