A 2-0 win followed by a nervous 2-1 on Saturday will have us all feeling better about life.

Equally though we lose both and end up in bottom 2

Best game ever. Houchen rounded the keeper for his second, then ran to the Rink End fans to celebrate..I was right in the huddle!!

Was that the game when Worzel Hampton brushed his hair back with his hands before rising to head the ball?

Imagine what that team would do to our current one.

For all the "technical" ability of the current squad, just close your eyes and picture Newton and Houchen up against Harrison and Walker or Bates.

It would define men against boys

Not able to share the sudden rush of optimism that Pools will keep a clean sheet but hoping to see a home win all the same.

2-1 Thomas, Rooney.

Well as I can't be there it's a nailed on home win at a canter.

We had to play well to get a draw at their place and they looked a decent side but something has clearly gone very badly wrong for them and I hope that continues tonight.

Dagnall will be missing through suspension won't he? Always rated him so that's a big plus for us.

They are bound to score but without Dagnall hopefully that will be limited to one less than us.

2-1 Pools

3,200 with 8 from Crewe

I suspect that won't be very long!

That said I've been expecting us to go on a little run, just enough to keep us up.

4-0!!?

Jones is a legend. I always said I liked a dour scouser, just what we needed.

Coxall is a genius.

Can't wait to see those flats/houses and us being financially self sufficient.

All is well at the Vic.

Nothing to see here.

Promotion to League One then the Championship the year after. We are the next Bournemouth.

The run has started, we've not conceded in over 100 mins and scored 5 without reply. We have two players with 2 goals in 2 games. All that's left to say is "We are unbeatable..."

I say, steady on there old bean!

Could be just me but it looks like there's a few who are gutted about tonight's great result. Take it for what it is. A great result and 3 vital points towards what is hopefully L2 footy next season.

1st half was pretty bad to be honest, but we got the goal just at the right time.
2nd half they put a shift in and took the chances when they come along and for a change they went in.
The players are starting to put the effort in but we still look or i get the feeling we are a cobbled together team, how ever we won 4.0 and thats all what matters at the moment.
Massive 3 points on Saturday and exeter will probably give us a hard game but at least they should have some confidence after tonight so fingers crossed for another good result.

Pretty woeful 1st half. 2nd a lot better.

Brad Walker is fucking awesome. Thomas finding his form again, Amond made a big difference and Allesandra never stopped. Woods excellent in middle.

Very impressed with Kenton Richardson, he's letting nobody down.

Oh and 2 excellent saves by Fryer.

BBC Tees wondered at half time why Alessandra was on the pitch and that we hadn't had the ball in thier penalty area on the floor all half. Man of the match in the opinion of Concorde Eddie Kyle was Richardson.

Special mention to Oates, had a messy game, fans getting on his back etc but at end of day he set the first up, won the header for the second and worked his socks off all game. Gave everything he could no matter how many times he got fouled.

It's funny...I recall watching Fryer warm up against Mansfield and thought he looked like an excellent shot stopper. Bartlett's days are clearly numbered.

I said at half time I'd have taken oates and allesandra off and told them to fuck off out of the club, they both were different players 2nd half and put a proper shift in.

Brad walker had a great game too, some of the balls he played out if the back were better than 4th division stuff.

It does look like Walkers career could well be saved by the change of position. Even if you had pickled onions for eyes you could see he wasn't going to make it in midfield.

Just hope he ain't drawing much attention as we will sharp get rid.

Bit of a stretch to say he set the first one up, would have to see it again but seemed to me to be very lucky that the ball ended up at Allesandra's feet. Pass from Thomas to Oates was a good un.

Thought the best thing Oates did was that block on the edge of 6 yard box. Ran about 40 yards to get back into the box, and stopped a certain goal by hoying himself in the way of the shot. Proper graft that was.

Aye it is stretching it slightly as yeah the defender messed up clearing his cross but he still sprinted from edge of his own box to get there.

You need grafters when in the shit and he put in one hell of a shift even if he didn't have the best of games.

Oates played like his boots were on the wrong feet tonight, he was almost comically bad. He tries his heart out but at times he just doesn't look like footballer, the first goal his setting up was him completely miss controlling a perfectly weighted pass from Thomas after a good run from him and putting over a rubbish cross, thankfully one of Crewes lumbering shite centre half actually managed to be even worse than his contribution by completely messing up an easy clearance then he even had the good grace to deflect the ball into then net from the shot. Football was the winner.
