Well, it'll be as per the team keep getting told - can't string 2 decent performances together so we'll get fucking hammered and I'll be there to see it......again.

So I predict a 4-0 away win.

100 Poolies

Colchester 2 Pools 1
Just hope theres no more injurys!

Massive gamble from Gary n Pam or whoever is running the show now! to do costcutting these last 2 months instead of waiting till June.
Sure Chip has commented before that a relegated club loses about h £500k in lost revenue.

Ah well what will be will be.
We doing our best to back the lads but whether thats enuf we will find out v Doncaster because i cant see us being sorted before then.

I think I read the other day that for the first time next season the relegated clubs get the same as they would in the League as a parachute payment.

Makes you wonder doesn't it....

Be a nice earner since we'll be able to get some more off the wage bill in the summer and replace them with a selection of Clavering u11s and loanees.

We can't string 2 decent performances together so can't see anything but a home win.

Probably repeat to fade of the season so far. Concede inside 25 mins, 2nd within hour and limp along into another defeat.

Cue the usual platitudes and rhetoric and knashing of teeth from players and manager. "We must do better, cut out the mistakes, start winning away, we go again Tuesday blah blah". We'll be in the bottom 2 by 5pm Saturday

I have horrible recollections of October 16 1976. Colchester 6 Pools 2. Paul Bielby ex Manure starlet (let go) scored twice for Pools who were winning 2-1. Then it went guano and the famous "We 'ate Colchester U, 'cause they beat us 6-2 was born. And wasn't it Colchester U, their fans, chairman or somebody connected with them complained that it was too far north and too cold at Hartlepool who shouldn't be in the football league? Ah well, they might get their wish soon. An ass scraping all hands to the pumps 0-0 to prolong the agony and look forward to Tuesday night.

We won't win because it's been four years this weekend since I last saw us win away in the league. Or we might win. Still unsure as to whether my being there affects our playing squad.

Isn't it not so much a case of not being able to fill the bench as of Jones and co. not feeling it's worthwhile to fill the bench?

The likes of Nearney, Assenso and Rodney could be sitting there but aren't, either because they have absolutely no chance of getting on (which says it all really) or because the chairman is economising on appearance money (which would be an even worse reason!)

It makes no sense not to fill the bench, give the lads a bit of match day experience.

Aaaaagghhhh I'm not sure I can cope with the inevitability of all these away defeats right now (he says praying for a miraculous turnaround). The closer to the trapdoor we go the more it starts to hurt each game and the nerves during the game are going crazy

Orient & Notts County failing miserably in what would appear to be their best opportunities to pick up wins

Hard to comprehend we are looking yet again to be the 3rd worst team in the league to survive. The players clearly trying hard but oh for a Mirfin, Tshibola, or James to help guide us through the final games. The silence from the Chairman re the out of contract professionals available is deafening.

First half we were okay, weren't as defensively solid as I'd have liked. I'm aware Brad Walker had a very good game last weekend but today he looked much more like a midfielder being asked to fill in - he was poor.

Still not enough width with Thomas desperate to move central at any opportunity, often forcing Amond wide where he's ineffective. Needed more help from the full-backs who played quite well, but going forward Donnelly has no left foot and Richardson is still very inexperienced.

Second half we offered nothing until we were two down. Subs too late again, but we looked much better with them on, even if Colchester had switched off. Rooney has to start ahead of Alessandra.

First game I've seen under Dave Jones and nothing much has changed since under Hignett. Worrying.

5 outfield players on the bench, and realistically only two of them were ever going to get on bar serious injury to someone.

The advantage of having a load of kids bulking out the squad, means the Chairman can get away with claiming we have a load of players, whilst at the same time the club isn't actually spending much money.

At the moment it is just a case of praying that the two teams below us keep getting beat, while hoping we can somehow win a couple of the home games.

Having only won once in 2017, it is a minor miracle we haven't slipped into the bottom two. Jones now also in the embarrassing position of having a worse record than Paul Murray, who got sacked after about 6 or 7 games. He's lucky Hodcroft still isn't in charge .

I sent a question on poolsworld asking how we can only name six subs with such a large squad of players? He seemed to find the question funny, replying "I don't know, no idea!", whilst laughing.

Maybe it's a question he (as the chairman) should be asking the manager himself?

Sorry but this chairman appeaes to be something of a crank.

And I dont care which influential supporters on other boards think differently.

I don't get it. Maybe people in Essex think differently to Northerners. Maybe they buy absolute bullshit from so called business men and their pie in the sky ideas.

Unfortunately for Coxall, Northerners are a little more cynical.

I compare the pools situation to only fools and horses. The Chairman is Del Boy. Next year we're going to be millionaires. Some of the fans are like Rodney, not buying it, heard it all before.

Then we have the triggers - the club will be in administration, relegated a league or two, on the verge of being dissolved altogether - and they will still be telling us to back the chairman.

Oh and I'm with you colonel, I'm very angry with how things are too, but more fucked off that we have a chairman who fails to give a flying fuck about it all.

Muffin,Tish, hugill,Harrison,d Jones,Fenwick all lads who kept us I'm the league.

Look at the team we put out today and that team of the great escape would murder us.

Just shows how far we have fallen and we thought that was a low point. But look at the last 6 months of that year. Top 6 form and 3 managers later with all of their "knowledge" and weve got the carpets team I have ever seen
