Unique Sounds By Bands!!!!

I can only think of 2 bands who have their own unique sound....

Adam & The Ants - Punk, New Romantic, New Wave....blended gave the Ants sound...but add Pop later!!!! violin

Then these with their own sound and will never be bettered....ever....FACT....

The Redskins....Northern Soul & Punk!!!! Fucking WOW....unbelievable sound!!!!

Have I missed any 'unique' music 'invented' by bands/artists????

Loved the Redskins Mutts, saw them a few times and they fulfilled their mission to walk like The Clash and sing like The Supremes.

Most On U-Sound stuff sounds like nothing else but I'll pick early Tackhead. Don't think anybody else has done paranoid industrial funk quite like that.

He had by the time their last album came out in 82! Songs like "Fields" and "Iona" are just Big Country bagpipe songs with Jobson signing instead of Adamson. I like them both!!

Adam and the Ants were not that different to The Glitterband even down to dual drummers, something acknowledged by Ant himself too.

Agree with the comments about Skids and big country.

Masquerade is still one of my favourite songs ever.

I think bellowhead were different. A lot of folkies disliked them for it.
