Only urgent coz I have the money, but...... my Laptop is about to go (RIP) and need another one; a more moderner quicker one etc. Do I go for a Laptop, IPad, or Notebook etc? Also would like a dvd/cd player for FM2017 etc (or can I transfer FM2017 without a Disc?

Also I have a Laptop tray on my lap on an evening so I can sit with my Dad and while he is watching telly I can listen to music, watch something else on Amazon/Netflix etc (with headphones) etc on said Laptop.

Those are my basic requirements

Where do you put your 16" greasy pizza and kebab if the laptop is on your lap?

I had a quick look on Amazon Prime and they seem to be £200 to £250, which maybe refurbished? Have about available £400 at the mo. Was willing to save some more, and wait, but I think this one won't last too long (am slightly frightened it will explode or catch fire through the night!)

I have had only 1 takeaway in the last 3 weeks (hence can afford a new Laptop) which ironically was a Pizza!

Do they have a CD/DVD in them? Just for FM2017 and the odd CD/DVD? Does it have Windows etc?

Yes, go on currys website and view them, more than shake a stick at, just view the 15inch screen ones.
check details for what is included.

Lenovo used to be IBM Thinkpad before they were rebranded. They're a good solid make.

On a slightly different note, apart form being old and knackered, is there another reason this Lap Top keeps switching itself off? Weirdly on the last 2 occasions during the 2nd half of the FA Cup 1st qualifying round!!!!! Frustrating as on both occasions I've been ahead!

Thanks Mr Townendsfaithful, the fan seems to be on a lot; when I use some things, even more. I think its on its last legs (the laptop and I'm not a CPU expert). Thanks carry on the help.
