Glastonbury is soooooo have to be there. I can't believe (but good luck to him) that a farmer from Somersert has developed one of the highlights of the 'social' season.
To think it ranks with Ascot, Cowes, Wimbledon and all that Upper Crust sh!te.
Dock Rock rules......ha

Tell you what, I'll know I'm getting old when I agree with you on anything musical!
Just kidding, I saw a bit on BBC3 and 4 last night. Shamelessly enough the best of what I saw was Amy Whinehouse. Her band were good, she was a state physically and mentally but what a voice. Not really my cup of tea but good performer.
Kasabian, I'm sure, are a good live band if you get into it but I just don't like them. As with what I saw of Rufus Wainwright and Arcade Fire(is that the ones with about 30 people on stage sounding shite?), I just couldn't watch them

I missed them last night, I hope they show some of it sometime today though. That new song, Intervention, is an excellent song in my opinion

I don't get it either, BBC 3and 4 don't start until 7pm when the red button thing works, why can't they show highlights instead of a blank screen stpid

I think it's because CBeebies or some other BBC channel comes down the same pipe (stop me if I'm getting too technical) as BBC3/4 until 7 o'clock ...

I preferred it when we had that Rediffusion dial on the wall and you could play the radio through your telly - none of this red button shoite

I dunno if its just me but I can't tell where one Arctic Monkeys song ends and another begins. They know fewer chords than Quo and can't play those very well either.

The best things at Glastonbury were on the alternative stages - I saw a group called Tinariwen who I thought were gr8.

aaaaaaaaaaaargh

I am now despising the Kaiser Chiefs almost more than I've despised anything ever before!!
they're gash diddly gash gash with an obligatory 'WOOOOOOOOOOOOOAH'/NANANANA NAAAAAAAAAA WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAH thrown in for good measure

shitness

from whats been said about the sound, seems Arcade Fire were one of the victims...
still, gotta admit to a tad of disappointedness about them overall. will still watch em at Leeds tho

the manics, in the past I used to hate them [post Richie anyway].
yesterday I really enjoyed them, which was weird but nice and nostalgic.

Young Knives were excellent I thought, Oi Salty did you see Seth Lakeman bit of a folkster and was pretty good as well.

I thought the Pigeon Detectives looked canny as well

I was at Glasto and Fook me it was muddy. Still good tho. I can understand people not wanting to go, but slagging it off when you've never been....... It's like the townsfolk who slag Pools off, never seeing them.

Still the music nazis do like to put down us "musically challenged" fools who like that new fangled popular music.
