I was there in December for the Madness gig. They took our tickets off us as we entered the standing section and handed one back as you left for the toilet. Its also £5 for a pint of Strongbow (that the cheapest drink in there)

I was also at that gig and confirm the above, was a cracking gig but ridiculous price for booze.
