Hignett to be gone within a fortnight. An experienced manager (ex Premier League and Championship) returning to the game after a break to come in and turf out the dross and make us a 'professional club' again.

Offers received from 5 clubs in League One and the Championship for Nathan Thomas. Player wants to make sure the club is safe before he leaves so is willing to wait until the summer for his move.

The job has been offered to the other manager and he's deciding if he wants to take it or not. Very high probability that he will accept as he's been out of the game for a while.

I'll get monkeybutts nose tattooed if Hignett is not still here at end of Jan. Smokescreen springs to mind.

Can only afford youngsters yet suddenly we can afford to pay off a manager and employ someone who has actually managed at any level before. No chance.

If this turns out to be true...my money's on Tony Mowbray.

Beats me though why any experienced manager would give Pools a shot in their current predicament.

Hignett is part of the Millhouse master plan foundations!

Can you imagine a manager who has been in the premiership with a budget for players coming here when he will have to make his own brew and get a meal deal from Morrisons for lunch, fuck all money and a squad of under achievers sctatchinghead

Mr Compo didn't say anything about a long break. I think Mowbray's the type who doesn't know what to do with himself if he's not working.

It must be Harry. He has been having lessons on how to use a mobile for the last two years and at long last he has mastered it and now the proud owner of an i-phone. He is now learning how to use twitter with the help of 2 fooball league chairmen.

It's the impression he gave, he said he's likely to accept as he's been out of the game for a while. Mowbray is a good shout I just didn't think that part of compos description fit.

Isn't the end of the month two weeks away just saying like and if contracts are month by month

Yeah I'd heard Tony Mowbray was looking to get back in somewhere. If hignett goes that'll be where my money goes.

We'll just have to see. No good spending the lottery winnings till the numbers are confirmed. A nice distraction though.

Not sure how JPNGs contracts work but it's near the end of the transfer deadline meaning minimal chance to bring in more players.

That's implying he wouldn't want to bring his own man/men in with him and would be happy to stick with Sam. I suppose there's marginally more than no chance and reading between the lines on Gary's recent tweets he doesn't seem happy with someone connected to the team.
Regardless, I've made my bet and will stick with it though!
