It was gonna happen some time. :(
Did she ever tell him the thoughts that surround her and did he ever look inside her head. We'll never know.

What a shame. Mr Irrelevant, lets have a tribute banner for the writer of one of THE greatest songs of all time.

It wasn't only a few weeks ago I learned that he was in a nursing home near here. Maybe I should have gone to visit. My Mrs assesses NVQ's there so I could have gone without any problem.

RIP Pierre. You can sleep in a fancy apartment, on the Boulevard St Michel.

I was watching him only the other night on TOTP 2, singing that very hit.

RIP to Mr Starstedt.

The writer of of truly classic song that will live on for a long long time.

Mind you he did know a lot about her, if it was in this day and age a bit stalkerish!

A truly classic timeless song though.

RIP Peter, but I can think of 20 Beatles songs that are better off the top of my head.

But then again we (nearly) all could!

His 'tache was a 60s classic though, better than the Fab Four's Maharishi-era efforts.

Didn't he grow the tache cos he had a hair lip or a scar or something?

Wonder if Marie Claire will make it to the funeral ( or will she have forgotten him forever ? albeit still bearing the scars deep inside ).

I believe he liked to make Gents toilet doors more user-friendly by drilling small holes in them - allegedly.
Known to other thespians as "Petunia Winegum", you have to admit he had style. Drove his own Bentley Continental (with rare James Young coachwork) in "Department S".

He was definitely a man of the time and the fashion icon of the day amazingly. He had the Hereford tache long before they became fashionable round those parts too.
