I've just had one for the first time in about 30 years. I had forgotten how nice they were. Now I have to live with the regret.

Recently discovered fish finger wraps. Bit of salad and mayo in as well and you've got a slightly updated version of the tomato sauce and white bread classic.

Strangely we were talking about Fish Finger sandwiches at work an hour ago. My recipe is 4 birds eye fish fingers, 2 thick sliced warbutons white bread, butter and tomato sauce. Somebody said they are having fish fingers for tea but with new potatoes and no bread sctatchinghead sctatchinghead

Perverts!! Especially Muttley - beetroot!!! I'm calling West Yorkshire Police.

Thick slices of bread. Butter, proper stuff not that homosexual margarine type buttery stuff. Salt and fish fingers.

Spread fish fingers between two slices of bread and job done. Don't spoil it with sauce.

Concurring on the vinegar - has to be enough on there to make the bread a bit soggy. Sauce is a vital ingredient though. Tomato, brown or maybe even a splash of Worcestershire but no sauce is an outrage equivalent to not using enough fish fingers and mushing them up to cover the bread.

Anyone who doesn't have sauce in their fish finger sandwich needs sectioning.

Just nearly wet my pants with the sexual connotations

The only way to eat a fish finger sandwich is 4 of the best crumbed fingers, fresh uncut bread sliced med/thick, lurpak and tomato ketchup, or if your posh Tartare sauce.

The brown sauce brigade are peasants who need to shape the fuck up, I shit you not, brown sauce is for bacon and sausages only, oh and cottage pie FACT

Right.

FACT Fish fingers were designed to fit 4 in 2 slices of bread, 3 vertically and 1 horizontally. FACT

My preference is said 4 Fish fingers in cold Buttered (Lurpak) toast, with Brown Sauce on one slice and Mayo on the Other!

Why no mention of a stottie? Surely the best bread vessel for anything like this?

I love them but hate the way they have been hijacked by the toff pubs. There is a nice pub here called the Brampton mill and they charge a tenner for one. I don't know what it tastes like as it would have to be bloody monkfish in there to charge that for it.
