Purchased a `Spice Tailor` from tesco and had it last night, goddam it was bloody good, best shop bought curry I ever did buy, southern Indian pepper curry, ten minute to make.

Only drawback was the aroma in the WC this am

Homemade Curry's are infinitely better than the shite you get in standard Indian restaurants. Not sure about the pre-preared sauces from the shops like.

Naan breads are gorgeous from the indian restaurants but never quite as good from the shops.
Normally soak mine then put them in the Foreman for 4 minutes.
Whats the best way?

Shop bought naans are best done in Toaster imo. Yeah you might have to cut them up a bit or turn them round during cooking but come out with nice crispy bits.

No you peasant, a dry spice mix in oil for 30 secs, add diced chicken, brown and then base sauce, 3 mins and add main sauce and cook for 6 mins. Put the naans in oven and ready at same time.

Mr Mutley, put a couple or 3 red peppers, a small onion, fresh Coriander, a red chili (or 2 depending on personal taste), cumin, tumeric, coriander & chili powders in a blender and blend into a paste. Put the paste into a pan with a little oil and heat. Add some sealed Chicken pieces and some chicken stock, bring to a boil, then turn down heat and simmer until the Chicken is cooked. Serve with fresh coriander for garnish, rice and Naan.

Gives you all in ingredients, can buy from them but I find most of the stuff cheaper in the supermarkets, most found in the "world" food aisle..

We don't have one in Hartlepool but best place to go is an Asian supermarket (Think the nearest will be Stockton), get big bags of rice, spices and all sorts for a fraction of the price in supermarkets. I'm in there quite often as I work in Stockton and get all sorts in there.

Purchased some lovely looking traditional clay oven naan breads from Morrisons, in the bread aisle, 2 large for 1.40, will send a review when polished off on Thursday.

Used to be one in Murray Street, not sure if it's still there but was quiet small. Think it was called Spice Bazaar.
