I think money might just lure him away from his roots, if he's like most professional footballers or am I just being cynical

me thinks signing boyd is a backward step and i cant see it happening as long as DW is manager, just my opinion like. boydie was allowed to leave after scoring 29 goals in our best ever season for pools, IOR are ambitious for the club to move forward so why let boyd go in the 1st place.

i cant see him coming back, infact me personally would rather he didnt

I must say I am in agreement with you Timmy. I can't say I've been a fan of his. Yeah, I admit he's got skill with the ball but think he can be quite lazy and waits for the ball to come to him rather than fighting for it and trying. Just my opinion of course.

yep, you get 29 goals a season and almost as many assists just sitting on your arse doing nothing.

have you actually been to any games ? i can lend you a dvd if you like.

but that was 3 years ago, what has he done since? He has been a proffesional footballer for about 7 years and beeen productive in about 1.25 of them.

anyone who disagrees with Chip has never been to a game and knows nothing.

All Boydy needs is a manager to have a bt of faith in him and a decent run in the team. He looked a good player in a lot of games under Turner but if he went a full game without scoring he was dragged out of the team.

Not wanting to sound too picky either but it was closer two years ago when Boydy had his finest hour againt Sheff Wed.

At the end of the day...it would all depend on which Boydy turned up.

Well if they don't sign Boydie I just hope they sign somebody decent. If any of these other rumours are true about geriatric ex-Mackems I want my season ticket money back rage

I used to get the impression with Boydy that he just doesn't see the game as other players do...he doesn't play by the same rules.
If a situation arises on the pitch that he likes the look of, as a challenge, he goes for it. If not, it seems just not to register with him. Bit intriguing

so you're not the brick-type after all.
I'll send you the milk bottles, you fill them up with petrol and Dibbs will put the oily rag in the top and light them, you can then throw them to your heart's content.
Right, who were we going to hoy them at again?

boyd had the best goals per game record across his entire pools career of any recent player at the club. and thats before you include the assists.

and that holds true even if you ignore 2004/05 completely! Boyd has always scored goals for us when given the opportunity, it's just been a question of getting that opportunity.

He didn't get a look in at the start of 2001/02, with Turner preferring a combination of Humphreys, Henderson and Lormor. When that didn't work he went out and signed Gordon Watson. Boyd finally got a chance as a sub in late September. He scored. Two games later he got his first start of the season against York. He scored twice. But two games and one more goal later he was benching again, and didn't start another game until February. He then got another chance and scored 4 in his first 3 games. But four goalless games saw him dropped for the rest of the season, with Turner signing Eifion Williams.

2002/03 was similar. Watson and Williams were established and Boyd had to wait until Watson broke his leg before getting a chance in the league. He started the next three games, scoring in all of them. He then didn't score in the next two away games and found himself out of the side under Newell for four months, with Marcus Richardson getting his shirt! When finally recalled in February he scored on his first appearance and added another at Darlington before being dropped again.

We then changed manager, and Cooper clearly didn't trust Boyd at first. His handful of subs appearances barely amounted to one full game. He didn't get a start until after he'd been to Boston and back. He then scored a small matter of 41 in 67.

perhaps someone could send this to danny wilson. with accompanying dvd. with a copy to timmy and tax payer.

whatever you think of him as a person or a player he has the knack of putting the ball in the back of the net at div 3 and 4 level. and at 25 years of age he has to be worth 175,000 imho.

why would you wanna send me a copy of boydy playing, i wasnt upset when he left so i wont be overjoyed if he came back, the team and the club is more important to me than boydy. now get your cock out of boydys arse chip you boring us all
