Went to see them tonight and they were superb. They must be well into their sixties now but still put on an amazing show. If you get chance to see them on this tour then do so.

The bands that a lot of the older Jamaican artists put together for tours are incredibly tight. Saw the Abyssinians about ten years ago at The Cluny. They did it as a warm up for their first ever European Tour which was mostly festivals. Dillinger was an excellent support act but the horn section led by Dean Fraser was the best thing about the night. They ran through a load of foundation rhythms as a warm up and I would have happily listened to them for a couple of hours and then gone home.

Venue for tonight has been changed to the Newcastle Academy (crap sound and beer that makes you crap).

Previously issued e tickets have to be changed in advance - a waste of valuable ale time.
