I don't see this as a good thing to honest. Floating fans never need much excuse to gripe so queuing twice isn't going to help. You should always have a cash turnstile, especially for standing areas.

it involves a 100 yard walk max. They'll get used to it.

I remember going to Doncasters old ground about 11 years ago n you had to do this. Most grounds you do this.

Called getting with the times

PJ, not sure there are many clubs left where you can pay on the gate.

Always been odd to me but there must be a fundamental reason why clubs don't do it any more sctatchinghead

No gripes from me, huge strides by GH and co this summer and long may it continue

Can't wait for Saturday.

It's no issue to me but you know what some people are like in this Town!

They will twist and moan about it when they walk up to the gate with 20 quid, get sent to a ticket office were there's a queue then walk back to the gate to queue again I can here them muttering "fucking typical Pools blah blah I not coming back here"

Most Premier League grounds that don't sell out like Sunderland still regularly have cash turnstiles available, why? Because it's the easiest way to attract walk up on the day punters. The only reason not to have is trust issues with operators.

I'm sort of with PJ on this one. what about the supporter who can't afford to get to every home game, and doesn't have a Bank/Credit Card. It will be a chew for them.

Just get there with plenty of time to buy one from the cash turnstile.

I can imagine people going to the town end on the mill house side and kicking off that they have to walk round the other side of the ground for tickets. If anything people might just have to get there a little earlier but obviously that will be the end of the work to some people

one of the new ticket points is at the Millhouse so that won't be an issue. The full change makes perfect sense and it's not like we have thousands paying in on the gate each game.

Then they can pay cash at the ticket points? The club have stated you can't pay with cash....

Most clubs do this now. Particularly clubs with turnstiles that scan tickets. Which we will be in the future.
I understand that people will be 'fuming' about queuing twice... but we're moving with the times and it can only be a good thing.
Everyone will get used to it!

You can ONLY pay with cash at the new points, if you want to pay by card you have to go to the main ticket office.

So the same as normal then. Let's be honest, it's not like we've had to queue that much in recent years is it?

I believe the article on the website says that only tickets in the Millhouse stand can be bought from the ticket point on that side so people trying to get in the town end that side would have to go round unless its changed.

2.58 and pretty farcical scenes outside of the ground, massive queues at the Millhouse ticket office.

Sounds shite to be fair.

Pay on the gate should mean pay on the gate. Not fuck around jumping through hoops instead of paying on the gate.

But anybody saying otherwise probably has a season ticket and thinks big bag of bollox to anybody who wants to pay match by match cos they ain't flush enough to buy one of these new season card things.

Diabolical performance!?

Err no it wasn't.

We started slowly and gave away a soft goal but we played some good football first half and probably deserved on balance to be ahead at half time. The second half was a bit flat from both sides really I don't know whether the conditions played a part, it must have been warm out there. We huffed and puffed they missed a couple of good chances. I didn't think they were a bad team. Fair point for me.

But diabolical? You were either pissed or not watching to come up with that assessment.
