Southerner.

Got Russ's waistline but not his full head of hair.

Has "experience of management in the public sector."

Gawd help us!

Does he shop at The ASDA, Aldi or Morrisons? What are his sock preference? What are his food preferences? Does he know Gilbert?

These are all questions we need to know before he tries to run operations at a football club!

For no good reason whatsoever, I have a nagging worry about the new set up. I know Russ got dogs abuse at times but in his defence there was something steady about him and I do think he wanted the best for pools. New guy might turn out to be the same but really, what are his reasons for taking up the post? Only fair to give him a chance but experience not massively impressive.

Oh dear, I suspect if the late Mother Teresa given managerial powers by God himself, got the the job you'd have questioned it still.
Nowt new here. Man gets job and the Grassy Knollingtons appear.

I only met Russ a couple of times so I can't really form an opinion of him. Loads of people I know loved him, and others wouldn't trust him as far as they could throw him.

All I do know is that compared to this time 18 months ago, the club seems to be going places. We have an owner who actually communicates with the fans, they're backing a positive manager who wants us to win games by playing attacking football, and the Shearer portrait is no longer hanging up.

I'm keeping an open mind. Under IOR we might not have even been told about this bloke.

I'm absolutely like you. I can't sleep at night because of this.

Can someone give an indication what the ground is worth in terms of land value sctatchinghead

I'm also keeping an open mind but is the land really worth that much that we should be suspicious. There seems to be a lot of concern with no facts.
Maybe they want to buy the ground and then add a hotel, offices or other facilities that would bring in additional revenue. Just a thought.

You can't imagine how many companies are just praying the Vic land gets freed up.

There's talk that the entire site has been earmarked for a Richie Humphreys memorial water park. The central feature being a massive crying beetroot faced badge kisser head fountain.
