Unfortunately, it doesn't look like it will, anytime soon.

Angela Merkel's open door policy looks a very ill thought out idea now.

Sadly it seems like it's become the norm.

The less people let it affect them the better.

Yes because if everyone closed their borders and got their country back like we have these pointless acts would stop overnight.

I can't see it stopping anytime soon, I don't know the answers but I do know something like this in this fucked up World we live in could literally happen anywhere so a comment like that at a time like this is more than a bit crass.

I'm not getting into the politics, my views are well known. I'm more conscious that at the time of the attack I was in a supermarket with my four year old little girl. No doubt there are people in Germany mourning the needless death of their children who were also in supermarkets doing mundane weekly shopping .

I agree. And I feel it's only a matter of time before we see something similar here. Although I hope and pray I'm wrong.

If you look at the date, it's five years to the day since Breivik's massacre, might be more to it than meets the eye.

The thing is most of the ones perpetrating these acts are home grown, citizens of the very countries they're attacking. You can close all the borders you like but the fact is they're already there/here.

Exactly, and bringing up pro UKIP/Brexit crap into it when innocent people doing normal stuff are getting senselessly murdered again is pretty shameful.

Politics aside it was another case of sad mindless violence. I think sometimes people use religion/politics etc as an excuse to commit atrocities. I can't comprehend how someone could imagine committing such a crime against humanity.

Let's get some facts before we come to conclusions / justifications / excuses.

I'm not suggesting anyone closes their borders, nor that this will stop overnight. There are many factors that have contributed to the current situation.

I am more than happy to welcome people to our country. What has happened here and on several occasions recently is saddening and totally uneccessary. However, due to a minority of people that pounce upon and brainwash individuals where they see a chance, I am merely saying a few simple background checks could have averted some of these tragic incidents. Some deranged people want to cause rifts in our society and therefore create more opportunities to 'recruit'. My point, though not very eloquently put in my post was that they have been able to move some of these 'brainwashed' people more easily to carry out their despicable acts

News channels are already backtracking on the theory that this is another ISIS extremist attack. As Mr I said wait for some facts before jumping to conclusions. It takes one person to cause something like this as we've been reminded of in the last couple of weeks.

One gunman who turned it on himself, it happens every day in America.

Some of our more deplorable newspapers will now have a busy night putting this story back to page 9 seen as it wasn't a Muslim killing folk.

I didn't know him personally but Police in Germany have said that they are fairly confident he acted alone and is now dead having shot himself.

There's footage on Sky News shouting from the top of a car park "I'm German"

18 year old German/Iranian.

So I suppose that makes him a 'Muslim' again and another one IS can take credit for.

His footware looked interesting in the footage though.

Not at all. I'm not the one with an irrational hatred and obsession with an Internet forum.

But you really haven't hit a nerve at all. You are simply pandering to what these IS scumbags want, they want war and people in the West to be motivated be hatred and fear. You crack on.

Just a thought , but when the usual suspects do the same thing as in Afghanistan today and 80 + get blown up it only gets a brief passing mention, as if lives in the West are rather more important than those elsewhere .

Of course, have you never heard the news of any given incident.

Eg: "400 people killed, 3 of them British" the inference being that the remainder are less important.
