Malcolm Dawes Knew My Father

Article in today's Fail reckons that Hignett has a vacancy for a centre back and Scott Harrison and Liam Donnelly are both on trial for the job.

Bit of a strange situation for Harrison as he's already been signed and released once, but he is obviously willing to fight for a new deal. Him and Donnelly both looked comfortable against Sunderland's Academy players and both are playing against Livingston tomorrow.

Donnelly looked maybe a bit small for a centre-back at 5' 11," but he can also play right back. I suppose the versatility might be useful, but does anyone think we really need another right back?

I think Scott Harrison can do a decent job for us, we have all seen what he is capable of. Out of our 3 first choice centre backs, 1 of them is injury prone and the other is 57 years old.

Let's be honest, we now only have two right backs and Richards is shite beyond belief! He must be playing for minimum wage in order to get a new deal!

I'd be leaning towards Donnelly if he can play left back too?

Unless I'm mistaken we only have Carroll at left back as that Martin looks like being one for the future?

Was always useful having Austin in squad knowing he could play anywhere in back line
