From what i can gather these things randomly appear around the world and then people are racing to get to them first?

Have any appeared on train tracks/ bottom of ravines/quarries etc yet?

Only available in US, Aus, NZ so far. Pirate versions available in other countries are riddled with malware.
You have to find pokémons in random places. They don't actually exist except as an image superimposed on your screen tuned in to the device camera's view of the location. So if you see someone pointing their phone into an apparently empty space and going loony you know what it is.
The damn thing's only been out about two weeks and there are already stories of people finding dead bodies or crashing cars because of them.

Fcuk, I was in the pub earlier and GROWN MEN were wetting themselves over it! One whilst wetting himself even more showed me a Pokemon sat in the Pub. It's NOT REAL. Obviously its a free "Game" so the powers that be can use your phones camera to collect Data and read your mind at the same time. Down with the establishment.

If it get kids walking about and actually doing something other than looking at a computer/TV screen it can't be that bad .. as for knowing where you are all the time Google is already doing that. .

Mr Offshore that's very commendable words about the kids, BUT I'm talking about GROWN MEN, literally WETTING themselves with excitement about a little computer'y thingy appearing on the camera'y thing on their mobile phone.

I feel really old now as this had completely passed me by, and when I found out about it I just felt a gaping chasm of despair opening up in front of me.

What the fuck is the world coming to?

I think if it bothers you that much about what other people are filling their time with then perhaps you should be filling your time with other activities instead of watching what others are doing?

Why don't we play bunker go? People with most pictures of bunker members wins. Top marks on people living away and bonus 1000 for Spender in China.

That's why it passed me by I think. I don't really worry what other people do but this has been impossible to ignore over the last couple of days. Makes me really sad that it's the only thing that gets some people out of the house.

They are looking at their phone screen though!

I agree, I saw some kids in Billingham having a laugh playing it. No harm in it and if grown ups are doing it I'd just suggest avoid them as they're probably using it as the new CB radio for luring kids.

It's a novelty and I'm sure it will wear off fairly quickly. How many times can a kid get excited at finding an imaginary thing?

I fear for my kids in that I'd prefer them to be out on their bikes, playing footy, rugby, cricket, climbing trees etc. Not wandering about being guided by a device.

This normalises the encroachment of technology into one of the last areas of normality ie being outdoors.

This has nailed it though, it's one thing walking along texting, but this is walking along being guided through the screen.

I can't be the only one who wants to retreat into the woods with some shotguns and tins of corned beef.

What has also done my napper in recently is something to do with 22 press ups, to show solidarity with US servicemen for some reason.

A couple of blokes I know posting films of themselves doing 22 press ups on Facebook EVERY SINGLE FUCKING DAY. They must be about done now.

Pokemon Go an p... off.

Aldi - shopping, kids running about willy nilly looking for the blighters, whilst their parents shopped.
The Pub - Grown men discussing how many they'd captured. The f..king Landlord giving an update on how many had been seen/captured in his Pub!"

I know people need hobbies/ a life, but fcuk me I now feel normal by not giving a toss about said "game"!

At a lads' poker night on Friday, Pokemon Go was being talked about. We were all a bit merry so I thought I'd download the App to see what it was all about. Once downloaded, you need to register to play/see more so I thought: "Eff that, can't be bothered".

I'd forgotten all about it until yesterday lunchtime when I passed two middle-aged blokes in the street holding their phones up and noticed their screens had a street map and Pokemon characters on them. I immediately took my phone out and deleted the App.

I was over the Headland yesterday when it was boiling and loads of people were gathered on the grass near St Helens Church, then loads more on the Pier. I'm talking hundreds here by the way. I was informed by a few lads at work that these areas are both 'Pokémon Gyms' One of the lads nearly got knocked over at two in the morning by a bloke doing it in his fooking car. They were showing me the app as well, it actually looks totally shit and pointless.

Grow up everyone FFS what a load of absolute bollocks.

I just wish I'd bought shares in Nintendo 2 weeks ago. Their bloody stock has doubled since then. If if if.
