All sounds good but his understanding of the dynamics in the UK car industry and the real drivers of profit bearing in mind the significant majority of cars made in UK are exported to Europe is severely limited. Reduced cost on electronics imports is insignificant compared to £/€ exchange rate and whatever tariffs are imposed for example

The article states that we need to focus more on exports. If, as it seems you're implying (but that I don't necessarily agree with), the £ will weaken against the €, this will negate the imposition of any tariffs on our exports - our exports would still be good value to customers.

Given what Dalton does for a living, I'd suggest he knows a lot more about the subject matter being discussed than you do.

What subject is that?

Currency movements or trade tariffs?

You appear to have issues.

What is it that you do or have done that you makes you post as if your utterings are in anyway credible? All I see from you is overbearing repetitive whingeing with shrill unsubstantiated claims.

The man is Brexit Secretary and bloody Johnson foreign secretary...!!! What the holy living hell has gone on?? I know David Cameron was hated by many, and he made the major screw up in calling the referendum in the first place but apart from that he was streets ahead of any of the crowd who are left on either side of the benches. What a legacy he's left behind though jeez. Johnson and Davis in cabinet, opposition non existent, Scotland about to leave the Union and the small matter of a Brexit to be negotiated when we've openly admitted we don't have any skilled people to do the job. Cushty.

I genuinely hope the Leavers were right and in 10 years or so the long game shows this was the right decision. Maybe the positive aspect of all this is that young people will get off their backsides and re-engage in politics to vote progressively and positively in the future.

The sad part for me is that Brexit is possibly a mass protest vote against politicians and the outcome is the politicians proving they are even worse than we thought

What is your issue with David Davis? That he has principles and resigned from the shadow cabinet over the 42 day anti-terror detention plans?
