When Koschelny was penalised for handball on the edge of the French box, when replays clearly showed it was Eder who handled, Murphy said 'I can see why he gave it' just as well the free kick hit the bar and not the back of the net.
Murphy you are a tool!!!

Referees don't get an action replay though do they? So when a ball has struck a hand you can understand how a referee has made a human error.

Why are people so angry watching the tele these days

I'm sure the French have benefited from Referees mistakes before ...Ray must've had France to win with the bookies.

Sorry PJ, but Koschelneys and Eder's arm are to be politically correct, like chalk and cheese. If clattenberg couldn't tell the difference, didn't quite see it, or is colour blind then he shouldn't have give it

Surprising he gave a free kick either way given his seeming reluctance to give any free kicks at all.

But he was so sure it was deliberate handball by the white man, that he booked him as well.

Utterly crass decision by a crass referee, that the authorities appear to love. FA Cup final, champions League final, and Euro 2016 final, all in the same season.

it totally amazes me why anybody would ever want to be a referee in the first place

Personally I think Clattenberg had a decent game, let the game flow, tried not to throw around Cards. The hand ball incident, I thought was correct at first sight. On the replay the ref and ME were wrong (the first time I've been wrong since 1997 BTW). This happens in football. I can guarantee the people wanting instant replays etc, will be the first to moan when a 90 minute game lasts 3 hours plus in the future.

I must say I reckon the ref's have had a very decent tournament. My memory is pretty poor at the best of times but I don't recall there being a single game where it was all about the ref, so for me, it's job done.

Praise where it's due.

Mark Clattenburg was the ideal ref. He gets stick, but do you know how tiring it is to make sure the cameras focus on you for 90 minutes?

The thing with refs like Clattenberg is that although they are human and can make mistakes, even mistaking a black arm for a white one, but they have to go that bit further, like booking the bloke with the white arm. Why did he feel the need to do that? Why do they always do that?
