This Saturday sees us entertain Craig Hignett's Hartlepool United. 'Pools have confirmed the first team will be playing in what will be their first pre-season friendly of the new season. We're expecting a large crowd so if you're coming then please get there early! There's plenty of parking at the ground for those who are driving. For those coming by train from Hartlepool there's several return trains to/from Billingham train station which is only a short walk from the ground. Most importantly the bar will be open all day!

Have they ever appeared for Scunthorpe?

On a rare serious note, how much is entry and what will the weather be like?

Teams today:

First Half: Carson, Magnay, Bates, Nsiala, Gilbey, Featherstone, Laurent, Hawkins, Alessandra, Paynter, Oates.

Second Half: Bartlett, Richards, May, Jones, Carroll, Walker, Woods, Deverics, Orrell, Amond, Thomas.

I'd forgotten about Orrell and didn't we sign some lad from queen of the south sctatchinghead

Was just really a glorified training match, Billingham had quite a few hartlepool Sunday league players for them as well. That Andy Gray lad looked comfortable on the ball although he is about 4ft and that's not great for a centre back. Not sure if it's just an ill fitting shirt but Amond looked to be carrying some timber.

He was building a shed after the match. He had assorted fixings as well.

I'd be worried if an ill fitting shirt showed that he had wood. He should be made to tuck it in, the shirt that is.
